After a busy first six months attending several games, events and workouts while also spending hours quizzing baseball people across the state the Prep Baseball Report Kansas staff is ready to unveil our first Class of 2015 player rankings.

As has become the standard in Kansas on a near yearly basis, at the top of the list are two national prospect right-handed pitchers in Isaiah Campbell (Olathe South) and Garrett Hutson (Augusta) who both established themselves with solid spring seasons last year followed up by a series of impressive outings this past summer/fall - they committed to Arkansas and Oklahoma State respectively.

Tall, athletic Blue Valley West shortstop Connor Kaiser, a Vanderbilt commit, checks in at the #3 spot and is the highest ranked position player in the class.

Physical right-handed pitcher/infielder Greyson Jenista (DeSoto) is at #4 after boatloads of people recommended him to us and we had a chance to see him at the KC Barnstormers Top 100 Showcase in St. Joseph, Missouri in late December where he exceeded our expectations.

Right-handed pitcher Ryan Cyr (Blue Valley) brings credentials (First Team All-Eastern Kansas League), an impressive physical, athletic frame and a knee-buckling breaking ball to the table earning him the #5 spot.

Right-hander Brendan Stanek (Blue Valley Southwest), an Arkansas commit, was impressive throughout the fall season pumping mid-80’s strikes and handling older, junior college hitters with ease as a member of the Kansas City Royals Elite Team checks in at #6.

Mill Valley left-handed pitcher/outfielder Zach Hanna (Mill Valley), a strong, athletic left-left two-way player that emerged and impressed this winter after injuries curtailed his fall sits at #7.

At #8 is Wichita State commitment Keylan Killgore (Wichita Heights), an easy armed, projectable lefty who Central Kansas high school coaches rave about.

A catcher that possesses the rare combination of speed and strength, Noah Croft (Olathe South), a Wichita State commit, checks in at #9 and is the highest ranked catcher in the Kansas 2015 class.

Brock Mason, an athletic two-way prospect from Blue Valley HS rounds out the top 10 after showing impressive across the board skills and steady improvement throughout the fall and winter.

The Kansas Class of 2015 is a solid group overall, many of whom are on the verge of establishing themselves as major college prospects - we look forward to following them to see who emerges. We will update these rankings again this summer.
