Scouting Report

The athletic, 5-foot-11, 180 pounder two-way from Marshall County jumped onto the scene in impressive fashion at our Upperclass State AC Games this fall. Projects as a pitcher at the next level, and his atheticism will serve him well on the mound. Oakley is a 6.98 runner who flashed a 92 mph arm from the outfield. Hopped on the mound where his quick arm immeditely stands out. Generated a lot of swing and miss with a fastball up to 89.3 mph and spin rates in the 2300's. The power curveball is impressive with sharp 11/5 action at 73-74 mph with a max spin rate that pushed 2700, and he flashed a developing slider in the high-70's that has the potential to be a wipeout offering in the future. One of the top few arms left on the board in KY.
