The Prep Baseball Nevada High School Player of the Week highlights the best performance for a Nevada High School player from the previous week.  Each week, High School coaches across the State are asked to fill out our questionnaire for Pitcher and Player of the Week, along with our scouting staff attending games and scouring box scores throughout the week.  Every Saturday a link will be pushed out on social accounts to the Player/Pitcher of the Week questionnaire with a deadline of Saturday night at 11:59PM, followed by the announcement on Sunday.

Our Week Six 'Player of the Week' goes to '24 1B Tyson Leone (Uncommitted) of Reed HS as he picked up a pair of HR's and doubles in as many games while also racking up 9 RBI in the two games.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: WEEK SIX

'24 1B TYSON LEONE, REED HS (UNCOMMITTED)

STAT LINE (APRIL 7 - APRIL 13)

Hits: 5-for-8 (.625)
HR: 2
2B: 2
RBI: 9
Runs: 4

The uncommitted first baseman out of Reed HS provided a massive offensive boost this week for the Raiders as he picked up four extra-base hits in two games, including a pair of home runs. Leone put together one of the more impressive single-game performances our staff has seen this spring as he went 4-for-5 against Douglas with a pair of home runs, a double, three runs scored and eight RBI. The Raiders would go on to win that one 20-10 before dropping a tight matchup against McQueen as they were walked off 9-8. It was a breakout week for Leone, who was a standout at the Reno Preseason ID, as Reed is now 13-8 (6-3) on the season.
