MOBILE, AL - The South Alabama Select was held on Sunday, September 24th at the Archbishop Lipscomb Athletic Complex in Mobile, AL. This was an open event that consisted of prospects in the 2024-2028 classes. These players went through a pro-style workout and took batting practice using Trackman to record hitting metrics. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Sunday.

Charlie Brinkman, Satsuma (AL), 2025
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-6, 140-pounds. Athletic and leaner look to the frame, can add more size.
Delivery: Quicker and controlled tempo throughout the delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Shorter and quick arm action from a mid 3/4 slot.

CH: 55-60 mph. Developing control for the offering, slows the body down at times. Works down in the zone. T1448, 1326 average rpm.

Mason Arceneaux, Mobile Christian (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 5-9, 155-pounds. Athletic frame, well developed frame. Strong and sturdy look.
Delivery: Hybrid start, slower tempo and controlled delivery.
Arm Action: LH. Mid 3/4 arm action.
FB: T78, 75-78 mph. Works to the glove side, occasional arm side action. In the zone. T1918, 1781 average rpm.
SL: 62-66 mph. Developing pitch, 1/7 spin. T1746, 1711 average rpm.

Ethan Hilpert, McGill Toolen (AL), 2025

Delivery: Worked primarily from the stretch, short stride. Easy motor.

Aden Catledge, Citronelle (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: 3B/OF
Body: 5-8, 175-pounds. Stocky-like frame, strong and sturdy lower half. Proportional.
