Monday, April 15th

+ C Trent Wilson (Scottsboro, 2025) had an impressive showing in the Wildcats senior finale on Monday as the arm strength jumped out early on throws to the 2B bag. The uncommitted junior also showed a quick exchange, giving him a legitimate shot to help control opposing teams running games as he threw out two potential base stealers at 2B. The offensive side of his game was even more impressive as the 5-11, 186-pounder collected two extra-base hits on the night as he works from a slightly-opened and balanced stance. Wilson uses a small leg kick on the front side as a trigger as he showed no issues getting the barrel to the hitting zone on time. There is definite juice in the barrel as he works slightly uphill with the barrel path with carry to the pull side. For the night Wilson was 2-4 with a homerun and a double while scoring a run and driving in two more. Wilson is a definite strong follow as the 2024 summer season approaches.
