OXFORD, AL- The PBR Southeast Senior Games was held on October 7th-8th at Jacksonville State University and Choccolocco Park in Jacksonville/Oxford, AL. This was an invite-only event that consisted of the top uncommitted 2024 prospects in Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana. These players went through a pro-style workout on Saturday and took batting practice using Trackman to record hitting metrics, then followed it up with gameplay on Sunday with pitchers throwing multiple innings. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing this weekend.

Today we wrap up our coverage of the event by taking a look at all of the pitchers that took the mound at the event. 

Griffin Cantrell, McCracken County (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: 2B/SS
Body: 6-3, 183-pounds. Longer and lean body, wiry look with longer limbs. Can add more size.
Delivery: Hybrid start, slower and controlled delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Lower 3/4 arm action.
FB: T83, 81-82 mph. Arm side action, backs up to RHH. Works the lower half of the zone. T2258, 2185 average rpm.
CH: 71-73 mph. Generates weak contact, left up in the zone at times. Has good arm side action. T1799, 1695 average rpm.

Tyler Chapman, McCracken County (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: 1B/LHP
Body: 6-2, 180-pounds. Athletic look to the body with potential for more quality size and mass. Proportional build with strong foundation.
Delivery: Wide initial base upon separation of the feet to gather momentum up into leg lift. Pitches with tempo with a quick leg up and down to the plate.
Arm Action: RH. Arms work shorter with a 3/4 arm action
FB: T82, 79-81 mph. FB worked best when getting ahead and allowing his arm side run to work for him. Mixes two-seam and four-seam to both sides of the plate well with multiple pitches at 15 inches + of ASR. Attacks with 4 seam FB up in the zone that carries vertical hop. T2256, 2062 average rpm.
SL: 69-71 mph. SL worked well off the plate when following FB. Some sweep to it with changing of planes. Could look to gain additional spin to allow pitch to have later horizontal movement. T2130, 1968 average rpm.
CH: 75-78 mph. CH showed late run with difference in velocity from FB. Really fell off arm side and may need to work on staying on pitch longer to get additional effectiveness. Used primary as a strikeout pitch and has potential ability to be used in any count with more feel for later pronation. T1956, 1912 average rpm.

Cole Christopher, Jeffersonville (IN), 2024
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-0, 176-pounds. Proportional frame throughout, stronger look. Athletic.
Delivery: Slower mover down the mound but the body works and carries more athleticism than he looks. High hands and decent hips that can work down the mound. Blocks front leg well and gets over his front side.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action that stays compact with minimal external rotation. Could get additional layback in external rotation with allowing the body to work, while keeping the arm back that could help with velo jump.
FB: T85, 81-84 mph. FB lacks true shape as it showed consistency in terms of horizontal and vertical plane. Worked well to the upper part of the strike zone as it carries decent hop with ride. Needs to get ahead with pitch more often to allow him to work higher in the zone against hitters. T2243, 2091 average rpm.
CB: 67-70 mph. CB is the better of his off-speed offerings. Shows 12/6 plane with high release and tight spin. Effective strike-out pitch when located on the plate with solid vertical depth. T2180, 2099 average rpm.
SL: 73-77 mph. SL spin and shape is inconsistent and lacks true feel for release point and pronation of pitch. Lacks horizontal movement and more of a rifle type spin shape. T2257, 2189 average rpm.

Jake Cummings, Lee-Scott Academy (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-1, 185-pounds. Athletic, proportional frame. Room to add more size and strength.
Delivery: Gets down the mound well, good tempo. Controlled delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm, higher 3/4 arm action.
FB: T85, 83-85 mph. Works to both sides of the plate, with some late carry. Occasional arm side run. T2393, 2261 average rpm.
CB: 71-72 mph. 12/6 spin, late break with depth. T2288, 2208 average rpm.
CH: 75-77 mph. Plays down in the zone, solid feel for the offering. T1628, 1459 average rpm.

Porter Dykes, Providence Christian (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Higher waisted frame, athletic and leaner body.
Delivery: Athletic and smooth delivery with linear drive towards home with open plant foot land and external rotation of the hips. Bow like plant leg upon landing with smooth back foot connection and drive from the rubber. Could look to close his front arm/top half to gain additional velocity and strike-throwing ability.
Arm Action: RH. Short and quick 3/4 arm with minimal wasted movement.
FB: T87, 83-86 mph. FB is sneaky with velocity and RPM's at 2400 average. Plays well in all areas of the strike-zone with swing and miss attributes. Showed some natural ability to cut the fastball with true shape that gives hitters a different look to the FB. T2547, 2457 average rpm.
SL: 73-75 mph. SL showed true projection with current ability to spin it at 2500 RPM's. Tight shape with ability to have swing and miss on offering. Late biting action that syncs up nicely with FB intent and slot out of hand. T2553, 2460 average rpm.

Ben Gann, Shelby County (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/C
Body: 6-2, 165-pounds. Lean and wiry frame with an athletic and proportional build. Has room to add mass.
Delivery: Smooth delivery down the mound with strong presence on his backside as he sits and glides with the slope. Leads with his front hip and shows ability to get out over his plant leg as he braces nicely and allows the arm to work.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm that maintains separation from body at hand break. Low 3/4 slot
FB: T83, 79-81 mph. FB worked well with arm side run down in the zone. Can live away, while showing the ability to work into RHH. T2154, 2008 average rpm.
CB: 69-72 mph. CB lacked true depth and offered more of a top spinning shape that rolled over. Showed ability to throw it for strikes but primarily used as a get me over pitch at its current development. T1702, 1664 average rpm.
CH: 68-70 mph. CH showed ability to affect hitters with speed difference. Showed ability to kill spin rate and tunnel off FB. Showed some ASR to lefties where he felt more comfortable in allowing pitch to work for him. Could look to gain confidence with pitch by attacking righty on righty. T1726, 1659 average rpm.

Eli Gardenhire, Boyd Buchanan (TN), 2024
Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 6-4, 175-pounds. Lean frame with long limbs and high waisted. Has plenty of room to add mass to his build.
Delivery: Smooth, controlled body and tempo. Worked primarily from the stretch.
Arm Action: LH. Mid high 3/4 arm action.
FB: T79, 77-79 mph. Arm side run, works down in the zone. Away from RHH. T1848, 1722 average rpm.
CB: 67-70 mph. Shows solid depth, spotty feel early on in outing. 1/7 shape. T2082, 1984 average rpm.
CH: 70-71 mph. Fading action, great feel. Swing and miss potential. Creates weak contact. T1944, 1726 average rpm.

William Homan, Harrison (GA), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/RHP
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Longer and lean frame, athletic build. More room for added mass.
Delivery: Worked mainly from the stretch, up tempo and quicker delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Shorter and quick arm, 3/4 arm slot.
FB: T89, 85-87 mph. Arm side action, late life. Sneaky. T2085, 1965 average rpm.
SL: 74-76 mph. Good feel, lands for strikes. Swing and miss offering. T1991, 1854 average rpm.
CH: 82-82 mph. Heavy arm side action. T1906, 1906 average rpm.

Dylan Lewkutz, Hewitt-Trussville (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 5-11, 175-pounds. Athletic body, proportional frame. Room for additional mass.
Delivery: Hybrid start, up tempo delivery. Repeats, controlled body. Works quick.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 arm slot, quicker and athletic arm.
FB: T81, 78-80 mph. Works in the lower parts of the zone, forces contact. T2270, 2141 average rpm.
CB: 68-70 mph. 12/6 shape, good feel in the zone. Drops for strikes in any count. T2290, 2122 average rpm.
CH: 70-71 mph. Swing and miss offering, has good feel, works in the zone. Plays down. T1542, 1451 average rpm.

Colin Loeffler, North Paulding (GA), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/SS
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Medium frame with room for additional muscle mass.
Delivery: Smooth and controlled body with repeatable actions. Quiet and calm body that has explosiveness upon hand break as he slopes down the mound. Really clean hips with easy turnover and separation of the top half. Foot strike lands true and straight with internal rotation of his back knee before ball release. Quick arm that works well and should offer more with time.
Arm Action: RH. Mid high 3/4 slot with repeatable and compact arm action.
FB: T87, 83-87 mph. FB plays well up in the zone and away. Gets good extension on release with some carry. Carried 2200-2300 RPM's that can jump on hitters. Needs to get ahead and allow it to play into his off-speed. T2444, 2303 average rpm.
SL: 76-79 mph. Really good spin on SL that showed late bite and some sweep. Was able to work it off the plate as a strikeout pitch. Works well backing up FB but struggled to get ahead with it for strike and will need to take that next step with its development. T2286, 2171 average rpm.

Logan Marsee, Boyle County (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-3, 165-pounds. Wiry, longer and lean build. Room for more mass and size. Projectable.
Delivery: Hybrid start, clean and controlled delivery. Repeats well.
Arm Action: RH. Low-to-mid-3/4 arm action.
FB: T79, 76-79 mph. Plays down in the zone, worked to both sides of the zone. Forces contact. Arm side action. T2123, 1988 average rpm.
CB: 64-67 mph. Good depth, 11/5 shape. T1885, 1770 average rpm.
SL: 69-71 mph. Sharp bite, late. T1981, 1911 average rpm.
CH: 72-72 mph. Arm side fade. T1378, 1378 average rpm.

Cameron McDonald, Franklin County (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-3, 195-pounds. Bigger bodied frame, sturdy. Strong base.
Delivery: Good tempo, controlled body. Works down the mound well.
Arm Action: RH. Mid 3/4 arm action.
FB: T83, 81-82 mph. Arm side action. Forces contact. T2384, 2269 average rpm.
CB: 69-71 mph. 11/5 shape, good feel. Lands in the zone for strikes. T2273, 2191 average rpm.
SL: 71-71 mph. Sweeping action with tight spin. T2329, 2193 average rpm.
CH: 73-75 mph. Drops the arm at times, shows fading action. T1847, 1719 average rpm.

Ian Milliner, St Xavier (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-4, 210-pounds. Strong and athletic frame with proportional components. Well built backside with developed lower half.
Delivery: Controlled and smooth delivery with consistent timing and repeatable actions down the mound. Late hand break with slower tempo down the slope with his front hip/leg, while hiding of the baseball as he rotates into foot plant. Finishes well over his front side with linear on target movements.
Arm Action: RH. Quick, longer arm that he can at times struggle with timing up with his movement down the mound. Simple 3/4 arm slot.
FB: T87, 83-85 mph. FB showed heaviness with strong ability to ride behind the FB with his hand. Carried 20 + inches of Vertical break with decent spin. Missed up in the zone and FB played best getting ahead and down in the strike-zone. T2244, 2140 average rpm.
CB: 75-77 mph. CB lacks true intent as it pops out early with slowing of the arm. Tumbled over itself and lacked a true breaking ball shape. Missed up in the zone with pitch as he is missing feel for command and release point on offering early in outing. Showed decent CB later in the outing as he gained better feel for staying on top of the pitch longer through the release. Showed ability to make an adjustment on pitch in the second inning for a much better shape with multiple swing and misses for strikeouts that carried depth. T2099, 2078 average rpm.
SL: 74-77 mph. Commanded well to the glove side. T2132, 2050 average rpm.
CH: 73-73 mph. Showed late tumble into RH hitters. T1961, 1961 average rpm.

Scout Moffatt, McCracken County (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-1, 180-pounds. Medium frame, leaner and athletic. Can continue to add mass and size.
Delivery: Hybrid start, quicker delivery. Aggressive down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Low-to-mid-3/4 arm action. Shorter and quick arm.
FB: T87, 83-86 mph. Sneaky with some late life, worked to both sides of the plate with some arm side action. Plays down. T2305, 2123 average rpm.
SL: 70-73 mph. Sweeping action, sharper and late break. T2354, 2228 average rpm.
CH: 78-78 mph. Struggled with command. Shows arm side movement. T1419, 1419 average rpm.

Cole Patrick, McGill Toolen Catholic (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-0, 240-pounds. XL frame, stronger and sturdy build.
Delivery: Clean operation, repeats the mechanics.
Arm Action: RH. Higher 3/4 arm action.
FB: T80, 78-80 mph. Works arm side, keeps the ball down in the zone. Pounds the zone. T2224, 2030 average rpm.
CB: 67-71 mph. Late bite, keeps the ball down. Swing and miss pitch. T1886, 1816 average rpm.
CH: 70-71 mph. Has feel for the pitch, keeps the ball down in the zone. Generated swings and misses. Arm side action. T1393, 1314 average rpm.

Daly Penick, Collins (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-1, 182-pounds. Proportional build with present muscle on his frame. More room to continue to fill out.
Delivery: Calm body with late arm that jumps on hitters. Works with decently mobile hips, and shows ability to keep the front side closed to allow the arm to create some drag behind the body. Lands closed but can be long to the plate out of the stretch as the arm is long.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm from low 3/4.
FB: T86, 82-84 mph. FB plays well when getting ahead and away. Spins it decently and is more effective low in the zone and ahead in the count. T2145, 1930 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. SL shows tight spin at 2400 RPM's with decent bite and shape with some horizontal plane movement. Worked well to lefties off the plate but could be used more as a get ahead pitch. T2498, 2353 average rpm.
CH: 76-76 mph. CH is a pitch currently that is uncomfortable. Slows tempo of the arm down and can get wrappy with wrist and hand positioning on release. More of a show-me pitch as it has some separation in terms of velocity but carries high spin to it in the 2300-2400 RPM's. T2440, 2339 average rpm.

Kelly Robertson, Jr, Eastern (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/3B
Body: 6-1, 170-pounds. Leaner and athletic body, more room to add mass and size. Lots of twitch and quick mover.
Delivery: Easy and compact delivery with minimal extra movements. Strides down decently but could even sit longer in his backside before internally rotating the back hip into firing position. Low and hinged leg lift with simple push-off into hand separation.
Arm Action: RH. Quick and easy arm from low 3/4 slot that stays short and connected.
FB: T84, 81-83 mph. FB spins well in the 2300-2400 RPM range that works best down in the zone. Gets ahead with pitch and misses around the plate when off. T2528, 2332 average rpm.
CB: 71-73 mph. CB showed true spin ability in the 2600 RPM range with snap to it. Breaks late with potential to be a really good offering. Got multiple swing and misses during early counts and was able to work it down and off the plate with two strikes for bad swings. Really strong feel for this pitch and its ability to create depth while tunneling it off FB. Hard to pick up out of hand. T2644, 2507 average rpm.

Austin (Blake) Saltzman, Hazel Green (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 6-4, 150-pounds. Lean and wiry frame, high waisted that can easily add mass and size.
Delivery: Easy and controlled tempo and delivery. Minimal deception but shows ability to hide the ball from a late release.
Arm Action: LH. Whippy arm from a low 3/4 slot. Arm drags for a late release.
FB: T81, 79-80 mph. FB offers late life and works best away to righties with ASR. Bowling ball type effect that can challenge hitters when he stays on pitch with high horizontal plane movement. T1934, 1778 average rpm.
SL: 70-72 mph. SL offers late bite with tunneling off FB with a true sweeper shape. Same intent and arm speed with exceptional spin in the 2600 RPM range. 20 + inches on multiple SL that will really give RHH hard at-bats with strikeout ability present. T2759, 2646 average rpm.
CH: 77-77 mph. Showed late tumble, killed the spin. T1580, 1580 average rpm.

Riley Schutte, New Hope (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-0, 175-pounds. High waisted frame, leaner and athletic build. More room to add size and mass.
Delivery: Slow and methodical wind-up with hands over the head to gather into position with leg lift. Slower arm as the body doesn't have much aggression, which isn't a bad thing as he attacks the zone with a repeatable delivery. Could look to get into his legs more as he pops up with a shorter stride.
Arm Action: LH. 3/4 arm slot that stays short and together.
FB: T79, 75-78 mph. FB works well when located down in the zone. Plays with decent arm side run when he stays on the pitch longer. T2237, 2112 average rpm.
CB: 65-66 mph. CB shows late biting action with similar arm action and delivery as his FB. Threw it for strikes as a get ahead pitch, while showing the ability to work it off the plate to lefties. 1/7 shape. T2267, 2246 average rpm.
CH: 72-72 mph. CH is more of a get me over pitch showing deception and late depth. T1832, 1832 average rpm.

Nicholas Sharp, Madison County (AL), 2024
Positional Profile: C/2B
Body: 6-2, 180-pounds. Medium build, proportional frame. Can continue to add more size throughout.
Delivery: Controlled throughout the delivery, good tempo.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm action, low-to-mid-3/4 arm slot.
FB: T82, 79-81 mph. Works down in the zone, forces contact. T2253, 2134 average rpm.
CB: 71-72 mph. Good depth, 12/6 spin. T2188, 2101 average rpm.

Zander Smith, McCracken County (KY), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-6, 220-pounds. Bigger, XL body, proportional throughout the frame.
Delivery: Controlled delivery with some back turn towards seconds on leg lift that can at times get him leaning back towards first and throw off his balance. Gets long and creates nice separation with his front leg away from body, while showing the ability to keep his top half back. Linear on target drive down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 arm slot that works together while staying compact.
FB: T84, 80-83 mph. FB plays best when located down in the zone. Straighter FB that spins decently. T2349, 2235 average rpm.
SL: 71-74 mph. SL shows 10/4 shape that carries depth and horizontal plane movement. Late biting that tunnels off FB well. Showed swing and miss with offering. T2130, 1974 average rpm.
CH: 78-79 mph. CH showed ability to kill spin with a dying effect. Minimal difference in pitch speed from FB and could look to make the pitch a better offering with killing additional velocity on offering. Maintained same arm speed and carried FB approach out of hand. T1600, 1578 average rpm.

Easton White, Villa Rica (GA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-2, 175-pounds. Proportional body, well developed lower half. Athletic frame.
Delivery: Slower tempo, controlled delivery. Calm body.
Arm Action: RH. Shorter and quick arm action, mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T88, 85-87 mph. Arm side run, locates down in the zone. T2010, 1845 average rpm.
SL: 71-73 mph. Go to offspeed offering, throws in any count. Great feel, swing and miss pitch. T2199, 1943 average rpm.

Tyler Zeligman, White House Heritage (TN), 2024
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 5-11, 180-pounds. Strong and proportional frame with developed lower half. Athletic attributes present.
Delivery: Hybrid start, up tempo delivery. Controlled body, smooth.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm from a mid 3/4 slot.
FB: T86, 83-85 mph. Arm side action, heavier, works down and into a RHH. Sink. T2201, 2106 average rpm.
SL: 74-76 mph. Tighter spin, spotty with command and feel early on. Swing and miss potential pitch. T2152, 2032 average rpm.
