The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 7, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2024 SEASON OUTLOOK:

The University Bulldogs made it to the 3A State Championship game in 2023, and are returning most of the roster from that deep run. Coach Miller runs an aggressive offense and aims to steal more than 100 bases this spring as a team. Most of this lineup is returning as seniors who hit for a higher average last season, and they do have some arms they can lean on. Both Connor Weber and Kaleb Tejada should take things over on the mound and offensively for the Bulldog’s, but there are also 6 other seniors who have a chance for a big year as well (Scott Thompson, Dalton Yaste, and Coel Croissant to name a few). The Bulldogs are set up for another strong year as one of the top teams in 3A baseball once again.
