Emerson, Georgia: WIth week one of the Georgia Dugout club tournament in the books, we take a look at some of the top upperclass and underclass players at the event. Today we will look at scout notes and videos of 15 underclassmen that showed out this past weekend. With upperclassmen to follow tomorrow.

Jayden Whiteside, INF, 2027, Marietta
The 2023 Junior Future Gamer looks noticeably different from a few short months ago. The actions in the field are smooth and effortless. The lower half has really developed, helping him blend in at the varsity level. He is going to be a key guy for Marietta going forward. The swing keeps him on time, and has a great bat path leading to consistent contact. Looking forward to seeing Whiteside develop, he can stick anywhere on the infield with the premier glove for his age.

Kaleb Binion, 1B, 2026, Carrollton
Physical 6-foot-0 frame with a quiet approach from the left-side, Binion consistently took quality at-bats throughout the weekend. With excellent plate coverage and present barrel control, Binion utilizes the whole field with ease and flashed significant raw power to the pull-side. There’s potential for a strong hit tool for the sophomore as he continues to develop.

Carson Sosebee, C/3B, 2027, Dawson County
Sosebee is one we heard good things about coming into the Georgia Dugout Club. He was hitting over .400 with a home run as a freshman on a well known program in the state. The frame is strong and sturdy, showing some raw power at the plate. We saw him catch and play 3B this past weekend. At the plate the approach is simple, with fast hands and present power in the lower half. Sosebee will be a good follow the next few years at Dawson County.

Liam Collier, 1B, 2027, Locust Grove
The 2023 Junior Future Gamers has seemingly fallen right into a varsity line up at Locust Grove. The maturity and confidence stands out, and really made an impact this weekend at the plate. He has added a slight leg lift since we last saw him at Preseason All-State and seems to have really helped his timing against varsity arms. The frame continues to develop, and we could see him be a real power threat in the years to come. He battled to a 3-2 count, and drove a ball the other way, showing the ability to adjust and drive the pitch where it’s thrown. Collier will continue to climb the ranks in the ‘27 class, especially after a year full of varsity experience this season.

Carson Snipes, OF, 2026, Marietta
Lean, athletic frame. Snipes has been a steady performer across the summer circuit and showed well this Preseason. He put it all together at Georgia Dugout Club this weekend with one of the strongest performances across the event. The adjustments he has made since the preseason has really completed his swing. He stays in his legs a lot more, allowing him to tap into all of his power. At Preseason All-State he was coming out of his legs a little early, but everything looks synced and smooth now. Snipes is going to be a big piece for Marietta for years to come, and a high follow in the class.

Evan Moody, RHP, 2026, Carrollton
Uncommitted. Strong, athletic frame. Moody has made some big gains since the summer, and got the start on the mound Friday night. The fastball velo was down a tick, but still managed to get into the upper 80’s and settled in at 83-85. He showed maturity working out of some tough situations, and kept Carrollton in the game. Moody has a plan on the mound, and really tries to execute each batter. He loves the fastball up, as it really sneaks up on hitters and gets a lot of swing and miss. Moody will be a name to know in the ‘26 class, and should be primed and ready for a big summer.

Eli Grantham, RHP, 2026, Wayne County
Uncommitted. Physical frame. Grantham had a strong outing on the mound for Wayne County at week 2 of GDC. Grantham faced a quality Hillgrove lineup and competed well on the mound. Displayed a mid to upper 80’s FB that topped out at 87, with good action to the arm side. Grantham showed a good CH that plays well off of the FB. Also has a strong 3rd pitch in the SL with sharp action. Grantham has good swing and miss stuff with plenty of room for growth.

Kurtis Maher, LHP, 2026, Denmark
Maher continues to shine in front of Prep Baseball Georgia scouts with a mature three-pitch that continues to keep hitters off balance. Working in the low-80s with some impressive carry through the zone and late, barrel-missing life that owns the top half of the zone. Command of the curveball really stands out, with the ability to print the outer half for strikes and in-zone misses. Changeup creates solid velo separation with some fade for a solid third pitch. In-rhythm, repeatable operation on the mound from an over the top slot with a mature mound presence for the sophomore.

Drew Harmon, 2026, RHP, Sequoyah
Lean and athletic 6-1 175lb frame with plenty of room for more. Mid-depth AA to a ¾ slot with rhythm and flexibility throughout delivery. Natural extension and spinal mobility, very clean mechanics. Intriguing, heavier mix all around. FB sat 88-89 (1850) and touched 90 with late arm side life. SPL is s/m pitch at 80-83 (1200), more SPL-CH-esque w/ more fading action than typical SPL, still shows good depth and plays well off FB. Flashed a SL as well at 70-72 with slurve-like movement. A lot to like, big time arm with real upside.

Colin White, 2026, LHP, Harrison
Another good look at White with his second start at Lakepoint in a week’s time. Immense projection in a long & lean 6-3 180lbs with present athleticism and explosiveness. Mature mechanics. FB was 88-91 with life and a harder CB at 77-79. Draft name as time goes on, chance to be special.

Ellis Alldredge, 2026, OF, North Forsyth
Square shouldered 6-1 168lbs with easy & athletic movements in all facets. Strength throughout. Late stretch of the hands combined with powerful hip rotation brings an aggressive barrel thru the zone. When on time ball really jumps. Shows a strong arm in OF as well, 90mph with good range. Tools.

Jamir Johnson, 2026, OF, Locust Grove
Wiry 6-2 175lb frame with plenty of room for more. Flashes of explosiveness. Adaptability & quickness stand out in swing, rhythm will play against all speeds and locations. Manipulates the barrel with twitchy movements. One to watch as he adds strength and continues to fill out.

Tristan Alvarez, 2026, OF, Norcross
Lean 6-1 165lb frame with present strength and athleticism. Good balance in load and swing with quick hands and great feel for the lower half. Impressive weight distribution in forward move allows core and shoulders to turn barrel over quickly in the zone. Nice rhythm and will have a chance to hit for power and average. Moxie.

Kolby Martin, 2026, SS/C/OF Sequoyah
Athletic 5-11 155lbs with strength throughout frame. Switch hitter with versatility in the field, dual-sport athlete. Strong hands/wrists with a naturally athletic swing allow for quality barrel accuracy and can produce hard hit balls in any pitch location. Quick first step. Bulldog mentality, always going to compete.

Christian Colon, 2026, RHP, Locust Grove
Athletic at 5-11 155lbs, room to grow. Balanced, repeatable delivery with good lower half mobility. Fast arm with a lower release height. Chance to be a tough arm as he fills out with his raw mechanical profile & athleticism. FB was 81-84 T85 but shows life & AS run and gets some s/m. Some quality bite on the SL at 72-75, still developing command. Both pitches flash solid shape & can become better as he continues to mature. One to follow.
