+ The loudest swings of the event came off the bat of '25 SS Jackson Watkins (Columbus East). The left-handed hitter boasts some athleticism within a 5-foot-11, 175 pound frame. The swing is geared towards heavy pull-side contact as he looks to leverage the ball out front. Watkins reached a peak exit velocity of 96.5 mph, and was up to 85 mph across the infield.

+ '25 OF Jackson Newman (Columbus North) took a very disciplined round of batting practice. Holding some strength in a proportional, 6-foot-2, 190 pound frame, Newman showed very good balance within a simple right-handed swing. Newman reached a peak exit velocity of 91.1 mph, averaging 86.5 mph, controlling line drive ball flight to the middle of the diamond.

+ '25 C/SS Barron Welsh (Southwestern) was a top performer across all categories. Athletic at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds - Welsh is a middle of the diamond defender with some arm strength, reaching 85 mph across the infield and 76 mph from the crouch. Offensively, Welsh used a compact hand load and controlled, hover-type stride with a swing geared towards lift to produce a max exit velocity of 85.6 mph.

+ '25 SS/RHP Eli Tindell (Columbus East) had a solid day. A projectable, 6-foot-2, 175 pounder - Tindell showed some bat strength at the dish, reaching a peak exit velocity of 91.5 mph within a simple, rotational swing. His best tool is his arm strength, posting an 84 mph infield velocity and fastball that was up to 84 mph, sitting at 81-84.
