Top Uncommitted 2016 Right-Handed Pitchers

With the summer season coming to an end and the 2015-2016 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position. 

Today we are starting with the top 2016 uncommitted right-handed pitchers in the state. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as you can see by our 2016 Rankings there are numerous talented prospect still available.

TOP 2016 UNCOMMITTED RIGHT-HANDED PITCHERS

Brad Weber Calvert Hall
Ranking: No. 22 in Maryland
Scouting Report
Weber has a durable frame at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds and pitched at 84-87 this spring. He pitches with regular effort from a 3/4 slot with a sound arm action. His breaking ball has gradual movement with 11/5 action at 73.

Ranking: No. 27 in Maryland
Scouting Report
Athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. Throws from a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action and quick arm speed. Has a controlled delivery with nice tempo and rhythm. Lands in line to the plate and finishes slightly to the first base side. Fastball has gradual run to the pitch at 85 mph. Breaking ball has near fastball arm speed with tight rotation and 11/5 action with late break at 72 mph. Changeup has late sink to the pitch with near fastball arm speed at 73 mph. Alex Parker McDonogh RHP/C
Ranking: No. 28 in Maryland
Scouting Report
Solid frame at 6-foot-2 190-pounds. Throws from an almost over-the-top arm angle with quick arm speed and a loose arm action. Stays tall in his delivery with smooth rhythm and pitches with regular effort. His fastball has hard sinking action on it with good command at 86 mph. His breaking ball has 11/5 shape with late break on the pitch with near fastball arm speed at 70-73 mph. His changeup has fade to it with near fastball arm speed and inconsistent but is down with the pitch at 74 mph.

Trevor Sprinkle Calvert Hall
Ranking: No. 31 in Maryland
Scouting Report
Athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. Throws from a high ¾ arm angle. Loose arm action and quick arm speed. Slightly falls off to the first base side at finish. Pitches with effort and shows some rhythm in delivery and mainly pitches from the stretch and has been working more on the windup. Slider has 10/4 action with potential as a sharp late breaking pitch up to 74 mph. Keeps fastball arm speed on the pitch.

Matt Elliott Cambridge South Dorchester
Ranking: No. 32 in Maryland
Scouting Report
Solid frame at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds. Throws from a high ¾ arm angle. Has a short arm action with arm speed. Controlled delivery with quick tempo and rhythm. Lands inline to the plate and pitches with regular effort. Slight finish to the first base side. Fastball has slight run and sink to the pitch at 85 mph. breaking ball has near fastball arm speed with 11/5 action at 70 mph.  Changeup has sink to the pitch at 78 mph. Interesting foundation in frame to build further strength on the mound.

Brandyn Vogtsberger Huntingtown
Ranking: No. 33 in Maryland
Scouting Report
Long and lanky frame.  Throws from a high ¾ arm slot with slight pause after break and long arm action.  Creates quick arm speed. Fastball has arm side run and occasional sink to the pitch up to 86 mph. Breaking ball has early break with 11/5 action and potential for a power pitch. Shows command of a changeup at 77 mph with near fastball arm speed and command of the pitch.
