Tennessee Diamond Notes: Week 4

The Tennessee Diamond Notes is a 2024 content piece that will focus on highlighting some top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight those positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Wednesday of the high school season that are deserving to be highlighted based on their performance.

For now, let's take a look at those players from across the state highlighted in this week's Tennessee Diamond Notes. 

TENNESSEE DIAMOND NOTES: WEEK 4

Collin Windham OF / 2B / Clarksville , TN / 2024 Windham had a great week at the plate with a .615 avg, .632 OBP with 8 hits, 1 HR,  9 RBI, 9 Runs Scored, 2 BB and 6 SB. On the year, he is hitting .519 with 40 Hits, 31 singles, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, 31 RBI's, 32 Runs Scored, 13 SB and 8 BB to only 6 strikeouts in 94 plate appearances.

Braden Huffaker 3B / RHP / Sevier County, TN / 2026 The Sevier County 2026 product was a force for the Smoky Bears with a .455 average, 1.182 ops, 2B, 3B, 6 RBI, 3 runs on the week. Also had the game-winning sac fly in 3-2 win over Jefferson County.

Owen White RHP / 3B / Middle Tennessee Christian, TN / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 75 / POS: 23 White, who has been a frequent visitor at Prep Baseball Tennessee events, had a really strong week offensively for the Cougars slashing 9-18 (.500) with 2 2B's, 5 HR's, 13 RBI's, 8 Runs, and .571 OBP. He has been a staple in the 3-hole for the club hitting 26-59 (.441), 7 2B's, 6 HR's, 22 RBI's, 20 Runs, with a .542 OBP on the season thus far.

Ben Timblin OF / RHP / Signal Mountain , TN / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 46 / POS: 10 Tiblin had a productive week hitting .625 with 2 doubles and one HR with key RBI's in both wins over Hixson. Hitting .509 on the season with 8 doubles and 5 HR's.

Bryce Terry OF / 2B / MUS, TN / 2026 Terry would go 10-14 on the week with 4 RBI's and 2 doubles, while hitting .500 on the season for MUS.

Phinn Waters LHP / OF / Briarcrest, TN / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 36 / POS: 6 Waters has been steadily making consistant noise on the mound this season where he has been racking up K's at almost 2 per inning, while also showing the ability to command the strike-zone with multiple pitches. He collected a region win this past week going 6 innings, giving up 0 H's and 0 R's with 18 K's, striking out every single batter he faced.

Brock Beddingfield C / 3B / Christ Presbyterian Academy, TN / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 22 / POS: 4 The former PBRFG participant this past summer, the current uncommitted 2025 C prospect had a really strong week hitting 11-15 (.733) with 3 HR's,13 RBI's, 2 2B's. For the season, he is 23-59 (.390) with a .441 OBP, 1.187 OPS with 4 2B's, 1 3B and 23 RBI's, while also throwing out 9 base stealers out of 17.

Brady Scott LHP / 1B / Sevier County, TN / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 177 / POS: 20 Scott had a complete game win over Jefferson County goes 7 innings, giving up 8 H with 2 ER, 2 BB, 9 K's.

England Bryan RHP / C / Middle Tennessee Christian, TN / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 8 / POS: 3 OverallRank: 274 / POS: 91 The Vanderbilt recruit in the 2024 class has been putting consistant outings together week to week and was no different in week 4 where he would go (1-0) with a complete games 7 innings pitched giving up 0 Runs, 4 H's, 3 BB's with 8 K's. On the season he is (3-0) with 22 IP, 1 ER (0.318 ERA), 11 H's, 10 BB's, 35 K's with a .955 WHIP.

Landon Rogers SS / 3B / Briarcrest Christian High School, TN / 2025 The 2025 class prospect from Briarcrest Christian had a really strong week going 9 for 15 (.600) with 4 doubles, 5 runs scored, 3 BB, 6 SB's, and 9 RBI's.
