Game Preview:  Both programs enter the matchup undefeated in league play and can put themselves in the drivers seat towards a league title with a pair of wins. Acalanes has not lost yet in the 2024 spring on the strength of a dominant pitching staff which has allowed just 38 total runs in their 16 games with a staff ERA at 1.39 while scoring 106 runs in that span for an average of 6.6 runs per game. The Dons staff is fronted by Thorn, Souza, Smith and Colaco who have each pitched in over 17+ innings with Thorn leading the staff at 33 innings. Each of the top 4 arms sports an ERA under 2.00 with both Smith and Souza checking in under 1.00 on the season. As dominant as the pitching staff has been the offense for Acalanes has provided plenty of fireworks on the spring lead by O'Rourke with a .358 average and Stadt at a torrid .444 clip while both having driven in over 10 runs. David Gonzales has been a consistent run producer for the Dons with 14 runs batted in and 17 runs scored. For the Falcons they have relied on 2 seniors and 2 sophomores on the mound with Leffel & Emerling provided the experience from the senior class with emerging arms Alvarez and Tarter seeing significant innings. College Park has a steady offense which is lead by 5 regulars who are hitting over .300 on the spring with Leffel topping the team at .370.
