HIGH SCHOOL DRAFT 100 PROSPECTS
Landon Marceaux, RHP, Destrehan HS, LA (Louisiana State)
C.J. Willis, C, Ruston HS, LA (Louisiana State)

OTHERS TO WATCH: A Tulane recruit, LHP Destin Dotson (Scotlandville Magnet HS, LA) is an intriguing prospect with a 6-foot-7, 225-pound frame. He has pitched in the low 90s with his fastball this spring while showing improvement to his secondary stuff. His long, athletic frame, combined with a more polished delivery allows for him to have a high ceiling. RHP Will Ripoll (John Curtis Christian HS, LA) had a dominant spring and created some buzz at the National High School Invitational in March, running his fastball up to 93 to go with his swing-and-miss breaking ball. IF Gavin Dugas (Houma Christian HS, LA) has an advanced hit tool and is strong and explosive, turning in a 6.5-second 60-yard dash in the past. Ripoll and Dugas are both committed to Louisiana State. Relatively unknown before the spring, OF Hunter Leblanc (Hahnville HS, LA) caught some attention. He is a physical, left-handed hitting outfielder with above-average athleticism. He shows similarities to OF Travis Swaggerty (South Alabama), who was a toolsy outfielder out of Louisiana and is now a first-round prospect out of college.
