Fargo, North Dakota - On Saturday, March 3rd, Prep Baseball travels to Fargo’s Rustad Recreation Center to host the Preseason ID-North Dakota. This event will feature over 40 prospects from the class of 2024 through 2027s. This collection of players will include plenty of fresh faces as well as returning faces.

EVENT HISTORY

Last year’s Preseason ID-North Dakota was canceled due to weather but the previous year saw over 39 players come through the doors of Rustad Center with multiple notable performances.

With 18 commits coming in after the event, two players had standout performances.

Minot’s Eli Nissen (2023, LHP, Creighton) was up to 88 on the mound. His slider showed a sharp bite when he located it down in the zone. Nissen was ranked 53rd in Minnesota’s class of 2023.

Fargo Shanley’s Thomas Simon (2024, SS, Nebraska commit) attended the event as a sophomore and his multiple tools stood out. He showed off smooth actions in the infield while throwing 83 across. At the plate, he had a middle approach that flashed occasional pop.

LOOKING AHEAD TO SUNDAY

This year’s Preseason ID roster looks to match and exceed previous performers.

Trey Husar (2025, OF/LHP, Northern Cass), is a 6-foot-3 multi-sport athlete who has shown a lot of promise on the mound.

Hudson Dinger (2026, 3B, West Fargo Sheyanne) has proven he has some juice in his swing. The right-handed hitting infielder maxed out a 94.3 MPH at last summer’s Underclass Prospect Games, the third highest output in his age group.

These are just 2 of the over 40 exciting prospects that will be in attendance in Fargo. For the most up-to-date roster, please click here.
