No. 9 Reagan Uses Big Inning at Hopewell

No. 9 Reagan  17 Hopewell  5

Reagan scored 11 runs in the 3rd inning to pull away from and beat Hopewell on Thursday night. The Raiders opened their scoring in the first on a Charlie Stogner triple, clearing the bases. Hopewell took the lead in the 2nd, capitalizing on several Reagan errors as the Titans pushed across 5 runs. The 11 run 3rd gave Reagan the game.  The Raiders used 6 hits and 9 walks in the big inning. Jacob Smith doubled to left, scoring Brady Marshall and Cole Rice.  Graham Wagoner stepped up next, leaving the yard with a 2 run HR to left.  Mason Middleton picked up the win in relief.  The senior RHP worked 2.2 innings, striking out 6.  Tyler Howe took the loss for Hopewell.  The lefty worked into the 3rd inning, striking out 5.
