Our premiere Preseason All-State event was hosted at Oral Roberts University on February 11th featuring 120 players from all across the state.  Prospects from the 2024 class to the 2027 class participated in a pro-style workout that featured BP with Trackman and Blast Motion data, defensive evaluations with radar gun readings, 60's, jumping data, grip strength, Vizual Edge testing, and finished with bullpens with data captured by Trackman.  The event was flooded with multiple players putting together noteworthy performances and in the coming days we will continue to bring more content from the event.  Today we take a quick look at 20 arms that stood out from the event with notes on each.

Jaxon Hyde-Hererra C / RHP / Putnam City West, OK / 2024 We already discussed Jaxon's potential as a power bat backstop this week, now we take a look at where he might have the highest ceiling on the mound.  Hyde-Herrera led the way at the Preseason All State with a top fastball velo of 91.2 mph with strong riding life and excellent command.  The ball seemed to jump out of the hand at ease with true power arm potential.  He paired the fastball lwith an improved mid 70's slider with late depth and downward action.  While unique, Hyde-Hererra will also mix in a "power knuckleball" in the upper 70's that semmingly acts as a firm split finger with downward action.  The eastern commit has the type of build and raw arm strength that should make him an interesting follow on the mound in the coming years.

Conner Chambers RHP / 3B / Bishop McGuinness, OK / 2025 Chambers will see his stock rise ahead of the spring season after putting on one of the more impressive performances on the mound at the Preseason All State.  The 6-foot-6 and 216 pound right hander worked fastballs up to 90 mph with very heavey arm side run and tilt.  Chambers worked a firm slider into the lower 80's but showed much more shape and command when it settled into the mid 70's.  Chambers has the size and power arm potential to be a frontline prospect in the 2025 class and is still just starting scratch the surface of what he might ultimately be on the mound.

Isaac Worden LHP / OF / Edmond North, OK / 2025 Worden had shown promise in outings in front of us before, but he really raised his stock with one of the more impressive bullpens at the Preseason All State.  Worden worked the fastball up to 85.6 mph from the left side with tight spin (2447 max, 2275 avg) with a ton of riding life through the zone.  What ultimately might give him the most value is his ability to spin the slider with feel in the low 70's and showing some command of the action.  At the very least, Worden projects to be an effective left on left specialist and shows much more promise than that for the future.

Layton Bryan SS / RHP / Chickasha, OK / 2025 Not many arms in the 2025 class show the type of complete arsenal on the mound than Bryan displayed at the Preseason All State.  The fastball showed tight spin up to 87.8 mph  and feel for landing it in the zone.  He shaped both a mid 70's slider with a 2409 spin average and a curveball in the lower 70's with more depth and still tight spin.  Layton will also mix in a mid 70's changeup with some arm side fading action to give him a starter's profile.  With the four pitch mix and well-put together delivery, Bryan should see his stock rise and programs at the next level should take notice as he heads into his junior campaign.

Wyatt Fitzgerald RHP / OF / Oklahoma Christian, OK / 2025 Fitzgerald continues to show the high end upside on the mound after another strong performance at the Preseason All-State.  Fitzgerald stands at a physical 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds and works a heavily tilted fastball up to 86.7 mph and showing strong command to both sides of the plate.  While we've seen slightly firmer fastball velocitiy from him in the past, it was the slider that caught our attention with with tighter spin and more action in the upper 70's that looks to have made quite the jump since July.  Mixing in a changeup to the arsenal, Fitzgerald currently profiles as a potential starter at the next level.  There is plenty of quick twitch in his game with him showing strong swing metrics and hard contact at the plate, which should translate to more velo on the mound in the near future.

Laird Williams RHP / 1B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026 Williams stands at an imposing 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds which can sometimes be difficult for prospects his size and at his age to manage throughout the delivery.   Williams bucks that trend with well-coordinated movements down the mound and showing fastball velos up to 86.4 mph.  He pairs the fastball with a lower 70's curveball that he can land in the zone and feel for a 76-77 mph changeup with some arm side fade.  With Williams' size and clean delivery, don't be surprised to see Williams continue to make big jumps on the mound and should be primed to make a big impact for the Bulldogs on the mound this Spring.

Brian Justice RHP / SS / Bixby, OK / 2025 When it comes to spinning the baseball out of the hand, not many around the country can match what Justice can do on the mound.  We've seen slightly higher velo from Justice in the past, but spinning the fastball as high as 2602 rpms while also showing some arm side run allows him to play it up at a higher level.  Where Justice seperates himself from his peers is his ability to spin and shape the breaking ball with an average spin rate on the slider at the Preseason All-State coming in at an impressive 2924 average.  He can also shape a bigger curveball in the lower 70's with spin rates as high a 3081 rpms.  To go along with the spin, Justice also shows advanced feel for the changeup with heavy depth and fastball hand speed.  His arsenal can be tough to match and when the velocity starts to make a jump throughout the Spring, don't be surprised to see Justice catch serious recruiting buzz throughout his Junior campaign.

Aidan Tomlinson OF / RHP / Dewar, OK / 2025 Not many prospects have made the type of jump on the mound that Tomlinson put together year over year with his performance at the Preseason All-State.  The 6-foot-4 and 204 pound right hander, showed a potential explosive fastball up to 89.9 mph with heavy arm side running action.  Tomlinson worked in a curveball in the72-73 mph range and showed a firm changeup while being able to kill the spin effectively.  Tomlinson has true raw arm strength and should continue to make jumps as he just begins to tap into his potential on the mound.

Ethan Nowell RHP / 3B / Metro Christian Academy, OK / 2024 The uncommitted right-hander from Metro Christian shined in his Prep Baseball debut with a strong performance on the bump.  Nowell stands at 6-foot-1 and 208 pounds, worked a heavy sinking fastball with low spin up to 86.8 mph.  He paired the fastball with a mid 70's slider with short cutting action and developing spin and a fading changeup with downward depth at 72-75 mph.  Nowell showed enough of the mound to be considered by programs at the next level that are still looking for arms to contribute to their recruiting class.

Brad Hoisington OF / RHP / Claremore , OK / 2025 The Junior right-hander from Claremore put his arm strength on display at the Preseason All-State where he reached fastball velocities up to 86.5 mph.  The ball jumps out of the hand easy and shows strong riding life through the zone.  Hoisington paired the fastball with a 72 mph curveball with big sweeping action and a firmer changeup with some downward depth.  Standing at a projectable 6-foot-3 and 165 pounds, Hoisington still has plenty of room to add strength and should see his stock rise heading into the Spring season.

Declan Murphy 3B / RHP / Carl Albert, OK / 2025 Murphy continues to show off an impressive sinker/slider combination at the Preseason All-State where the right-hander worked fastballs up to 85.1.  While the velo is as firm as we have seen from him in the past, Murphy still maintains his high-end pitchability with the ability to work the fastball to both sides of the plate at the bottom of the zone.  Murphy spun the well-shaped slider up to 2338 rpms at 78 mph which offers as a true swing and miss pitch.  Murphy's ability to shape the ball in multiple directions matched with his proven ability to get hitters out at a high level makes for him to be a must-watch prospect heading into his Junior campaign.

Jackson Savoy LHP / 1B / Owasso, OK / 2025 Savoy continues to make jumps each time we see him with another jump on the mound from November to what we saw at the Preseason All-State.  The left-hander worked the astball up to 84.9 mph with tight spin and an easy delivery.  He pairs the fastball with a 73-75 mph slider with an average spin rate of 2393 rpms and kills the spin effectively on the mid 70's changeup.  Standing at 6-foot-1 and 196 pounds, Savoy has clearly added strength in the last year and he continues to be on an upward trend and rising his stock ahead of his Junior season.

Colin Allen 3B / RHP / Deer Creek, OK / 2026 The 6-foot-2 and 169 pound right hander showed some upside on the mound at the Preseason All-State where he worked fastballs up to 84.2 mph with a 2009 rpm spin rate average.  Allen would also add a slurvy mid 60's curveball and 74 mph changeup with fastball hand speed.  The Deer Creek prospect has potential 2-way abilities and still has plenty of room to continue adding strength.  It won't be shocking to see Allen continue to make big jumps in the future.

Carson Cooper RHP / 1B / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2025 The long and lean right-hander showed improvements on the mound at the Preseason All-State since the last time we saw him.  The 6-foot-5  and 172 pound right hander worked fastballs up to 84.2 mph with a 2226 spin rate average.  The slider clocked in up to 72.3 and mixed in a firm changeup in the mid 70's.  Cooper has a loose arm with plenty of room to keep adding strength and has shown some projectability both as an arm as well as with the bat in his hands.

Caston Fox SS / RHP / Poteau, OK / 2027 Fox was one of the bigger winners from the Preseason All-State both as a position player as well as on the mound.  The right-hander from Poteau led the way for the 2027 class in a couple of different categories including in fastball velo where he used a quick arm to work fastballs up to 82.1 mph.  Fox showed developing feel for a mid 60's curveball and will also mix in a changeup with heavy arm side fading action.  Fox already has shown a big arm as a position player and it would not be shocking to see him continue to make big jumps in velo on the mound in the near future.

Cole Gossett 3B / RHP / Moore, OK / 2026 Gossett made a strong debut in front of us at the Preseason All-State both as a position player and showing significant upside on the mound.  The 6-foot-2 and 165 pounder worked fastballs up to 83 mph with a 2225 rpm spin rate average.  The fastball jumps easy out of the hand with a ton of vertical break to give the fastball riding life through the zone.  He spun the slider in the lower 70's with heavy horizontal sweep and a 73 mph changeup with strong arm side fading action.  The sophomore still has plenty of room to add strength and should be one to follow in the future.

Brayden Trogdon RHP / 1B / Yukon , OK / 2026 Trogdon continues to make jumps on the mound each time we see him and put together a strong bullpen at the Preseason All-State.  Standing at 6-foot-1 and 181 pounds, Trogdon worked fastballs up to 83.4 mph with 17.7 inch averages of vertical break.  He showed tight spin on the curveball with strong shape and depth.  Trogdon also showed a firmer changeup in the upper 70's with some downward depth and slight arm side fade.  He continues to show the ability to make jumps on the mound and should be an intriguing follow in the future.

Peyton Kilhoffer 3B / RHP / Dewar , OK / 2027 Another freshman showing upside on both sides of the ball, Kilhoffer put together a strong performance on the mound at the Preseason All-State.  The physical 6-foot-4 and 208 pound right-hander worked the fastball up to 81.6 mph with a peak of 20.2 inches of vertical break.  He also shows a developing feel for a 74 mph slider with tight cutting action and strong attack as well as a lower 70's changeup with depth.  Kilhoffer already has plenty of strength even at a younger age and will only continue to get better as he keeps adding experience in his young career.

Decker Davis C / 3B / Arapaho-Butler, OK / 2025 The 2-way prospect from Arapaho-Butler showed off his arm strength not only from behind the plate (80 mph) but also on the mound where he topped off at 83.8 mph.  The fastball has a ton of riding life through the zone with one of the top vertical breaks and an average spin rate of 2143 rpms.  He worked a big-shaped curveball in the lower 70's and also showed a short fading changeup up to 74.5 mph.  It takes pure arm strength to put up the type of velo from behind the crouch which should speak to more velo on the mound in the coming future.

Braxton Brewer RHP / OF / Bishop McGuinness , OK / 2025 Brewer showed his potential as a position player at the Preseason All-State but also showed some upside on the mound as well.  Working fastballs up to 83.8 mph, Brewer has a clean delivery with the ball coming out of the hand easy.  He spun the curveball in the low 70's with 2439 rpm spin average that shows the makings of a potential swing and miss pitch.  Brewer has strong hand speed which should translate to more velo in the future as he keeps adding strength to his 6-foot and 181 pound frame.

Aidan Allred RHP / 1B / SANTA FE HS, OK / 2025 The physical 6-foot-3 and 234 pound right-hander showed a jump from the previous Preseason All-State in 2023 to showing more arm strength in 2024.  Allred worked fastballs up to 83.7 mph with strong spin and tilt to the bottom of the zone.  The slider is the pitch that showed the most year-over-year improvement where he spun it at a 2716 rpm average up to 74 mph giving him a potential swing and miss pitch.  Allred has the size that programs at the next level are looking for and he should be primed to make a big jump here in the coming months making him an intriguing follow heading into his Junior campaign.

Alexander Woods RHP / 3B / Tulsa Union , OK / 2024 Woods put together a strong performance on both sides of the ball at the Preseason All-State but it was his work on the mound where he showed the most promise.  Woods showed a tight spinning fastball up to 87.3 mph with a spin average of 2425 rpms and showing arm side running action.  Woods also added a mid 70's slider with a 2605 spin average that showed strong sweeping action to help create strong tunneling off the fastball.  Woods has strong hand speed and has shown some athleticism on the mound in the past and should be one for teams at the next level looking for uncommitted in arms in the 2024 class to take another look at.
