OSSAA Player of the Week: Week Seven
April 22, 2024
We pick the player of the week by scouring through box scores as well as take submissions from high school coaches across the state. To be considered for selection, please send in weekly stats to [email protected] or DM through our social channels by 8:00 PM each Sunday night.
After combing through the box scores and submissions from the previous week, it was Ethan Holliday's prowess with the bat that earned him Player of the Week honors in Week seven. The OSU commit and top ranked player in the country for the 2025 class finished the week going 7-11 that included three homers, a double, and 8 RBI. His power bat has played a large role in the Pioneers' run back to the top of the Power 25 and he continues to show why he is going to be one of the more coveted prospects in the coming the years. The ball jumps off the barrel at ease with a smooth stroke from the left side and has already shown the ability to drive the ball out of the park to all fields.

Scouting Report
Prep Baseball All-American Game: The number one player in the 2025 class continues to look the part at every stop. Highest-level projection in the 6-foot-3, 198-pound frame with present strength in the frame already. Slightly open, even base with stoic hands pre-pitch. Short leg kick with elite hand and bat speed, Holliday shows excellent ability to stay balanced and on-plane on every swing. Innate ability to leverage the barrel with easy carry to all-fields that screams massive power potential, paired advanced bat-to-ball skills give the Oklahoma State commit the opportunity to have premium hit/power projection. Simple, smooth actions with soft hands in the dirt. Covering a ton of ground moving laterally and maintains impressive body control making throws on the move that’s backed by plus arm strength. It’s as complete of a profile as you’ll find in prep baseball currently and it comes with elite MLB bloodlines.
