Outlook:

The Westmoore Jaguars are coming off a 2023 year which saw them fall in the opening round of the 6A State Tournament after winning their regional. The Jaguars look to replace some key position players like Kaehler Stillings, Eli Hill and Jackson Black while under the direction of their new head coach Brian Hunnicutt. Despite the losses they had in the ‘23 class, they return a good amount of starters that will carry the heavy lifting at the top of the order. The question for the 2024 season is if the pitching staff will be able to hold their weight and give their offense a chance to win games. They will rely on some unproven arms with potential to give them some major innings in the upcoming spring. Westmoore will be an interesting follow due to them having a pair of highly ranked uncommitted seniors and a few younger prospects with high upside.

Impact Players:

Josiah Kemp, 2026, OF, Oklahoma Commit

Kemp has some of the highest upside when it comes to prospects in the ‘26 class. Kemp got valuable experience as a freshman in 2023, and will likely hit at the top of the order for the Jaguars this upcoming spring. The OU commit has continued to develop and has always been an extra base hit threat with a unique mix of speed and power. That speed is starting to play more in the OF and has shown potential to be a quality defender out there. We are interested to see if Kemp can put it all together and become a consistent bat for the Jaguars.

Connor Cavnar, 2024, C, Uncommitted

Cavnar has been at the top of the order for Westmoore the past few seasons and looks to continue to do damage for them into his senior year. The two-sport star has made his impact on the gridiron and you can see the physicality on the diamond as well. The 2022 Future Gamer has shown some power potential reaching an exit velocity up to 97.5 and has shown adequate receiving actions behind the plate while adding a pop time as low as 1.89. Cavnar has high upside and is one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the ‘24 class.

Tanner Fallwell, 2024, C/OF, Uncommitted

Fallwell is a two-sport prospect for Westmoore and has been one of their big producers on the diamond the past couple of years as well. Fallwell was a member of the 2022 Future Game roster as a catcher but has also shown the ability to make an impact as a quality defender in the OF as well. He is also one of the top uncommitted prospects in the ‘24 class so he will be a high-follow this spring.

Jacob Wehba, 2025, INF, Uncommitted

Wehba was one of the most underrated players for Westmoore last season and was one of their most impactful players as a sophomore. Wehba is known for being a plus defender with advanced actions and quick hands up the middle. He is a high contact gap to gap hitter looking to control the barrel and hit for a higher average. The junior should be in the mix in the heart of the Jaguar order and looks to continue to be one of their top producers in 2024.

Gage Geiger, 2024, OF, Oklahoma City Commit

Geiger returns to the lineup as a plus defender in the outfield and table setter for the offense using a short and compact stroke to work line drives gap to gap.  Where he makes his most impact is on the basepaths where he is well-known as one of the top base swipers in the state.  The Oklahoma City commit will look to continue to provide guys behind him more opportunities to pick up RBIs as well as be counted on to drive in a couple himself in 2024.

Players To Watch:

Bradley Ruby. 2024, LHP, Seminole Commit

Deacon Frazee, 2024, INF, Uncommitted
