The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as we have started the '24 CIF High School baseball season Prep Baseball California is now highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '25 athletes. The players featured are pulled directly from our '25 Class Rankings. These JR year players are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 OF Spencer Kwon from Cypress High School. Kwon has a leaner wiry build to his  5'11 158 lbs frame with the actions and speed that shows a CF defensive potential and shows solid baseball ability across the board. His 6.95 speed in the 60 with burst (1.69 10 yard burst) while flashing 85 MPH OF arm velocity with accuracy to his throws. Kwon has an impressive swing from the RH batters box with bat speed (80.7 MPH max), quickness in his hands (23.7 MPH max) while genereating torque in his turn (19.1 G's of Rotational Acceleration). His raw power shows more gap to gap doubles at its present upper ends by reaching 88.3 MPH on his max exit velocity.  With good athletic ability, premium defensive position potential in his profile, solid offensive ability and an intriguing frame that profiles to add strength as he matures Kwon is a name to know in the '25 class for college programs looking for up the middle defensive pieces with offensive ability.

Defense: Athletic OF. Light feet that play aggressive through. Displays early with clean/smooth glove-to-hand. Creates good momentum into throwing motion.
Arm: RH. OF - 82 mph. Loose/quick arm. â…˜ accurate throws from the OF. Flashed good carry to the bag.
Hit: RHH. Relaxed stance with loose low hanging hands over homeplate. Simple forward stride. Hands push back into a slight arm-bar. Bat takes an uphill path through. More FBs than LDs/GBs during BP round. Above avg. bat speed (72 mpg. avg). Feel for the opposite field. Present inside out ability. Balanced throughout.
