Illinois State Games: Itinerary

By: Diego Solares
Area Scout, Illinois & Missouri

This week, Aug. 9 and 10, the PBR Illinois staff will be hosting the first annual Illinois State Games at the Rantoul Family Sports Complex in Rantoul, Ill. – a central location allowing prospects from all corners of the state to meet in one place to perform and compete alongside and against each other.

For this event, we’ve invited the top players in Illinois, spanning grad classes 2023-2026. Our mission is to bring the highest level talent in the state to one location for this two-way event. Rosters and teams will be composed of players from each grad class, setting the table to see who are, pound-for-pound, the state's top prospects.

All position players will showcase their talents in a pro-style workout in the morning of day one of the event, Tuesday, August 9. Following the workout, players will branch off into teams (selected by the PBR staff) and begin gameplay. The following day, we will finish up the event with two games for a total of three guaranteed games between the two days. Lineups, pitching rotations and rosters will be constructed by PBR Illinois staff.

Last week we previewed the event’s roster, highlighting name-to-know prospects across the 10 teams we’ve assembled. You can find that by clicking HERE. For an up-to-date look at the players scheduled to attend the event, and what teams they're on, click HERE.

Today we’ll spend some time breaking down the itinerary and details from this event, including check-in times and pitching rotations for gameplay. Read below for all of that pertinent information.
