Updated 2019 Rankings Released

Big shakeup in the Maryland 2019 class rankings with four new faces in the top ten as we expand to the top 90 with the addition of 20 new faces. Our rankings are a direct result of the PBR boots-to-the-ground approach to scouting, traveling the land through either our own Prep Baseball Report events or getting out to local events as well in our attempt to provide the most comprehensive knowledge of every state we cover.

RHP/IF Thomas Keehn (Duke) of DeMatha Catholic takes over the top spot in the state rankings. The two way talent has had another solid summer with the Richmond Braves and now heads into the fall as our No. 1.

Rising up two spots to the No. 2 spot is RHP Chris Chaney (Maryland) of Saint James School. Chaney has continued to develop and had a nice sowing at the Maryland Underclass Prospect Games, topping out at 90 mph and showing a swing and miss breaking ball. RHP Jameson Covey (Ole Miss) of Colonel Richardson is our big riser into the top ten, taking the No. 3 spot. Covey was another that impressed during the Maryland Underclass Prospect Games, getting up to 88 with the fastball combined with a projectable frame. There is still some rawness in his game that intrigues to what the future may hold for the young righty. Covey took advantage of a nice summer with Youse's Orioles to end up committing to Ole Miss this summer.

Three new faces enter the top ten with RHP Matthew Wyatt (Virginia) of Loyola-Blakefield, OF Tyler DeMartino (West Virginia) of Walt Whitman HS, and C Justin Looney of Mount St. Joseph. Other New faces entering the ranks include Trendon Craig, Joey Davis, and Jack Johnson. Craig of Riverdale Baptist has reclassified into the 2019 class. Davis of Appoquinimink is a lanky toolsy outfielder with projection after an interesting showing at the PBR Future Games.

Here is your sneak peek at the top ten.
