SCOUT NOTES:

Long is a 6'1" 155lb LHP out of Porter Ridge HS with a fastball up to 89mph. Weighing only 155lbs Garrett has room to add velo and fill out his frame. Dominating the zone with his fastball allows Long to use his change up effectively down in the zone and keep hitters off balance. With an avg spin of (2,130RPM) change up is his best secondary pitch at the moment but also mixes in a curveball at an avg of 73mph. Look for Garrett to have a big season on the mound this spring for Porter Ridger and shoot up the rankings in the 2025 class.
