For the next two weeks we will roll out our Preseason Power 25. Three staff members voted on their version of the thirty best teams in the Preseason Power 25, with a possibility of 90 total vote points for each team. We will release three teams per day for the first week and then move to two teams per day once we reach the Top 10 next week. Voting for preseason teams centers more around the depth of talent on that team, as well as where it stacks up within their region/area, as opposed to strictly predicting schedule outcomes.

Generally, larger schools and classifications have a greater depth of player talent on roster. However, once the season begins and records begin to take shape, the Power 25 will be adjusted as needed. In addition to that, we will debut our Private School Top 10 around April 1st and Small School Top 10 around mid-April.

The Grizzlies of Grassfield High School settle in at the #15 spot. Grassfield returns arguably the best arm at the beach and some upperclass talent in the lineup.

#15 Grassfield

The Grizzlies have some serious offensive production to replace from 2023. Grassfield lost seniors Jacob Bunch (PHCC), Jacob Henry, (Lynchburg), Dylan McClellan (EMU), and Maddox Tsutsui. While McClellan may have had a little more impact on the mound, the other three made big contributions throughout their career. While the offense is a question mark, they do return frontline arm in Bradley Zayac (ECU). Matthew Sabale (Lynchburg) will add some depth behind Zayac, but they will need to find a few other arms if they want to make it back to the state tournament this year. Ryan Hoeft (Georgia Highlands JC) and Nyenati "Pudgy" Snoh (Norfolk State) should be focal points for the offense, but they will need to show some depth with the supporting cast.

Final Thoughts:

"The Grizzlies struggled at times to produce runs versus the bigger and better arms that they faced in 2023. I think that will be the main question that needs answering in 2024 as well. Zayac and Sabale create a really good combination and a different look from one to the other. Hoeft, Snoh, and Sabale will more than likely be front half of the order bats, but it will be the back half of the order that could determine their success this season."
