Today we are releasing Week 3 update to the Virginia/DC Private School Top 10. Take a look at some notes on a few teams from inside the rankings.

  • Three of the top four remain the same, while Cape Henry moves up two places. Cape jumped Benedictine after moving to 11-0. The Dolphins beat previously ranked Nansemond-Suffolk, as well as rolled into Richmond on Saturday and blanked a pretty explosive offense at Collegiate. Their Collegiate victory came a few hours after defeating Grafton at home.

  • Benedictine came out on top of the Commonwealth Classic, as well as defeated the previous #3 Highland Hawks at the Abbey late last week.

  • Walsingham is sitting right outside the Top 10 and minus two losses on their spring break trip, they had a big ending to the week. The Trojans defeated Miller School by a score of 2-1. Outside of a game here or there, their upcoming schedule is not greatly demanding and they should be making a move into the Top 10 as the rest of the field sorts itself out.

  • Along with our Power 25 on Mondays, we will update our Private School Top 10 every Tuesday.
