Today we are releasing our weekly update to the Virginia/DC Power 25. Take a look at some new faces and some movement throughout the rankings.

• Moving into the Top 10 of the Power 25 is the still unbeaten Lightridge Bolts. The next two weeks will be very telling for this team, as they have a pair of home and aways with Stone Bridge and #16 Briar Woods. In addition to two games with Briar Woods next week, the Bolts will also face Loudoun County. That week will test their pitching depth and if they can make it through that, they will set themselves up for the back half of the season.

• Maybe not the biggest jump in number of spots, but Greenbrier Christian moves up four spots to #13. The Gators have five games in about an eight day span and if they can navigate through that, they will be in good position as we creep towards May, aka VISAA playoff time.

• Three previously unranked teams move into the Power 25, most notably the Great Bridge Wildcats. The Chesapeake area powerhouse is definitely trending in the right direction. Longwood commit Dawson Newman is out to an extremely good start and the young sophomore standout, Casey Cuddyer, is seeing some pretty consistent success at the plate. Pair that with the speedy Calvin Mabry at the top and the Wildcats can be tough to deal with on the bases.
