The Uncommitted Spotlight Series continues as we have started the '24 CIF High School baseball season Prep Baseball California is now highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '25 athletes. The players featured are pulled directly from our '25 Class Rankings. These JR year players are ones that college coaches and fans should be keeping their eyes on over the coming months.

We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts and the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance, and Visual Edge provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put the spotlight on a SoCal '25 OF/RHP Gavin Kramer out of Vista Murrieta in the Inland Empire. Kramer was previously verbally committed to UC-Berkeley before reopening his recruitment in the middle of January 2024. We got eyes on him at the Prep Baseball California Preseason All State Upperclass event where he was one of the standout performers from the day. Kramer has a wiry athetic frame with room to keep adding strength to it as he matures (still only 16 years old for the majority of his JR high school season). His RH swing shows a quick path with bat speeds up to 74 MPH with leverage in his path, impact (max exit velocity of 92.2 MPH) from a middle to pull side approach where he should collect extra base hits through the gaps and flash HR power to the pull side. His actions and arm strength (85 MPH OF arm velocity) profile as a corner OF defender with a good offensive profile and the ability to add length to a college a lineup with potential impact. As strong as his offensive profile is Kramer has realistic potential on the mound where he features a mid 80's FB which peaked at 87.5 MPH at Preseason All State with a pair of solid offspeed offerings in his 71-73 MPH SLD which averages 2323 RPM spin rates and an intriguing 75-78 MPH CHG which features diving action to the arm side. Each of his offspeed offerings play well off his FB which features arm side run. Kramer is a strong option coming back on the board in the '25 class who has real potential on either side of the game for a college program.
