2017 Area Code Games- RHP Ian Bedell (Davenport Cental HS, IA) started for the White Sox (Midwest) against the Athletics and allowed a hit and two walks in three innings while striking out two. He was up to 93, sitting 89-92. He pitches with a loose delivery and high leg kick. His curveball had depth and 11/5 shape at 73-76 though he tended to cast the pitch. 

8/4/15-
  6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. Good balance and tempo in delivery. Works quickly. Incorporates lower half well in mechanics creating drive and power. Fastball is downhill at 82-85 mph with solid command of zone. Slider is best breaking ball at 71-74 mph with tight rotation. Changeup has plus sinking action and is thrown at fastball arm speed. One of best 2018 arms in state. Will be highly ranked in IA 2018 class.

Slider had 11/5 shape and short break; similar to a cutter at 70-73 mph. Changeup had sink. Loose actions and athleticism. High Follow for 2018 class. Tall stance with in-line stride and short load. Showed average pop in the bat with a gap to gap approach. Shows ability to pull hands inside pitches middle-in. 82 mph exit velocity off tee. Moves well in outfield. Shows athleticism. Arm is long and clean with plus accuracy and carry. 81 mph arm strength from outfield.
