2023 Rising Stars State Games: Preview

The 2023 Rising Stars State Games kick off this weekend in Daytona. The event will be held at the Jackie Robinson Ballpark, home of the Single A Daytona Tortugas. The event will feature 2027 and 2028 grads from across the state representing their region during showcase and gameplay. The event will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report website as well as on social media. Today, we will highlight the players in attendance in this preview.

Preview
East
The East region features 27-28s from the Orlando area and the east coast of the state. The East pitchers will be Logan Gurney and several two-ways. Behind the plate is Jake Churchman, John Parkinson, and CJ Wall.
The East infield features Ryder Widick at first base and Michael Singer at third. Up the middle is Charlie Antunez, Brody Vogel, Alex Wise, Christian Yamashita, and Dylan Zack. Rounding out the East are outfielders Brylandd Canode, Christian Gomez, and Owen Lenzen.
North
The North region features 27-28s from the Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Panhandle areas. Pitching for the North will be multiple two-ways. Catching for the North will be Nathan Filbert, Jordan Olivia, and Fabian Rivas.
In the infield, the North features Jayden Khan and Nolan Slaymaker at first base. The middle infield will be Cody Byrd, Preston Cole, Jathan DeHaven, Madden Mann, and Miles Tyson. The outfield for the North will be Jaden Colon, Kline Cummings, and Anderson Homer.
South
The South region features players from the Miami area as well as Fort Lauderdale, Naples, and Palm Beach. The South pitchers will be Evan Dyett and Jack Hurlburt. Behind the plate will be Max Boyer, Dante Caridi, and Matthew Villena.
The infield features Samuel Rodgers at first base and Jeyden DeJesus and Max McCawley at third base. The middle infield will be Benjamin Jameson, Calvin Hinckley, and Gavin Russell. Rounding out the South are outfielders Gregory Capdevila, JD James, and Maximillian Pliske.
West
The West region is made up of 27-28s from the West coast of Florida in Tampa, Clearwater, Sarasota, and more. Pitching for the West will be multiple two-ways. Catching for the West are Jacob Collins, Brandyn Figueroa, and Luke Shelly.
The West infield has Dylan Monile, Gabriel Ortiz, Kanin Summey at first and Maximus Sakala at third. Up the middle is Armani Davila, Sam Heintz, Brody Roe, Jase Traina, and Mason Warren. Rounding out the West roster in the outfield is Trigg Listerman and Quinn McElfatrick..
