Florida 2026 Rankings: Preseason Update

Rocco Iervasi
Florida Managing Director

As the Preseason comes to a close and we get started with the high school season, a mild rankings updated was needed. For the 2026 class, the top four remains the same, but there is some shuffling inside the top twenty. This class is extremely talented, so we had to expand to 125 players this time around.

Today we will look at a few risers and newcomers to the Florida 2026 rankings.

Risers/Newcomers

Spencer Krasner LHP / 1B / American Heritage, FL / 2026

Krasner, a 6-foot-3, 180 pound southpaw impressed at the 2024 FL Preseason Classic for American Heritage. Krasner sat 88-90 with a tight spinning CB for swings and misses. Krasner showcased starter upside.

Cannon Murtagh OF / OF / JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL, FL / 2026

Murtagh is an uber athlete who showcases hitterish actions at the plate. Above average bat speed, feel for the barrel with gap to gap power. Murtagh continues to make jumps as he gets more physical.

Michael Vigil RHP / RHP / Westminster Christian, FL / 2026

Vigil is another 2026 arm that impressed at the Preseason Classic. Came out of the bullpen for Westminster Christian up to 92 with his fastball. 19 inches of Induced Vertical Break generates swing and misses. Flashed a sharp slider that will continue to improve. An uncommitted arm to key tabs on.

Gavin Byrd SS / 3B / LAKELAND CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, FL / 2026

Very physical at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds. Above average bat speed and flashes power potential. Byrd looks the part on the diamond and should stick on the left side of the infield long term.

Cole Travers 3B / RHP / Sebring, FL / 2026

Lean 6-foot-2, 165 pound infielder. Gap to gap power. Confident hands at third base. Lots of projection.
