2024 FL Preseason Classic: Day 4 Recap

The 2024 Prep Baseball Florida Preseason Classic and Preseason Open continued Friday, February 16 at Lawnwood Baseball Complex in Fort Pierce, Florida. Friday featured two Classic games at 4:00 and 7:00 PM.

American Heritage vs Lincoln

The final day of the 2024 Preseason Classic featured American Heritage taking on Lincoln. It was a one-sided affair as the Patriots dominated with a 10-0 victory, showcasing strong performances both on the mound and at the plate. 

Talan Holiday got the start and pitched well, only allowing two hits and no runs over four innings. Spencer Krasner contributed with two shutout innings himself. The offense was also on fire, with eleven total hits. Zain Diaco, Andrew Ortiz, and Christopher Levy led the way offensively for the Patriots. 

Lucas Cannady and Chase Fuller collected Lincoln’s only hits.

Westminster Christian vs Viera

Westminster Christian took on Viera Friday night at the Preseason Classic and came away with an 8-2 victory. The Warriors displayed a strong performance both on the mound and in their offensive game. Aaron Hernandez started on the hill and delivered a solid pitching performance, while the bullpen put together four strong innings.

Manny Marin made a significant impact with a key hit that put the Warriors on the board early in the game. The team capitalized on opportunities, with players like Lucas Argudin contributing to their lead. Marin led the lineup with two hits, setting the tone for the Warriors.

On the other side, Viera showed resilience with players like Aiden Cameron, Jay Fowler, and Alexander Westfield making contributions at the plate. Despite the loss, the Hawks displayed patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks during the game.
