College Crosscheck: Week Four Hitters

This week College Crosscheck took me to the Triad of North Carolina for ACC Opening Weekend action with Wake Forest hosting No. 2 Louisville in Winston-Salem and No. 15 Florida State traveling to Durham to take on No. 10 Duke.

Friday’s action was highlighted by a pair of hits by Louisville outfielder Levi Usher and big RBI double by second baseman Jared Poland in the Cardinal’s 4-1 win. Saturday the Demon Deacons walked it off with a homer from Will Simoneit to even the series at one apiece. And Sunday saw the Cardinals win the series behind a 14-run offensive attack, once again led by Usher who had three hits and two RBI.
