Game Notes: Pine View (UT) vs. (#10) Legacy

Brett Harrison
West Coast Supervisor

GN 4-10

+ Alex Scaggs, 2027 IF - The freshman continued his massive Spring with another multi-hit day, racking up three hits including a double. Scaggs took no time at all to settle into the varsity level, leading the #9 ranked Longhorns in a number of offensive categories including Batting Average (.582), Hits (32), Runs (30), RBI (25) and Doubles (8). This a freshman that is quickly ascending to be in the conversation of the top bats in Nevada's 2027 Class and will be a player that we expect to be on more than a few radars in the coming years.

+ Colton Stanton, 2024 OF (Salt Lake CC Signee) - The Salt Lake Community College recruit has been the centerpiece of the Legacy offense the past 3 years and has taken on the role as the catalyst for Longhorns in the leadoff spot this Spring. The compact left handed stroke should translate well to the next level with flashes of power, especially to the pull side, becoming more and more present each Spring. Stanton will be a key factor in the Longhorns' run this post season as they eye the Class 4A title.

+ Tyler Stosich, 2025 IF - The junior came up clutch in yesteday's contest, breaking it open with a standup double down the left field line that brought in two run, putting the Horns up 5-0 and never looked back. Stosich put a handful of good swings together against Pine View, but none more important than the 2 RBI Double. Stosich will be another key contributor in the heart of the Legacy lineup that has their sights set on the ultimate prize this coming May.
