Game Notes: Virgin Valley at The Meadows

+ Bryce Intagliata, 2024 LHP (CSI Signee) - The future Golden Eagle stood tall against an offense that has been stout throuhgout the Spring, striking out 8 over his 6.0 innings pitched. Intagliata was able to cruise through his outing, relying mostly on his fastball that he effectively moved in and out while showing advanced feel for his changeup and flashed his curveball that is still developing into the sharper pitch that we project it will be. This is small school produce that we expect could be an early impact type arm at the next level.

+ Kurt Felix, 2024 C (Cal Poly Signee) - The Cal Poly signee had himself a day starting with his first at-bat that saw him shoot a sharp single through the 6-hole that put the Bulldogs up early and they never looked back. At the plate, his ended up 2 for 4 on the day with a pair of RBI's and a walk with quality at-bats produced in each of his four times up. Felix's big day was not just at the plate, he hopped on the mound to close out the final inning where he struck out two of three batters faced and sealing the victory for Virgin Valley.

+ Gage Rinetti, 2024 OF - Rinetti secured one of the two hits for The Meadows in yesterday's matchup, leading things off for the Mustangs in the bottom of the first with a lined single to left field. Against one of the, if not the, top arm in Nevada's 3A Class, Rinetti barreled another ball to right-centerfield that was tracked down, but added to his quality at-bats on the day. Rinetti is a player to know in Nevada's senior class as an uncommitted bat that could play at the next level.
