Arkansas High School Spring Spotlight: Cabot

The Arkansas high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 26, opening day for regular season action under AAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Arkansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight:

“Pitching and pitching depth should be one of our strengths this year. We have several future college caliber arms. Defense should be another strength of ours. We are very athletic around the field and have many interchangeable parts that will allow us to move guys around if necessary. What's unknown to us right now is just how the line-up will unfold. We have some nice offensive parts with some athleticism that should provide opportunities to score runs. How those parts come together will take some time to figure out. ” – Ronnie Goodwin, head coach
