Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight:

“I feel like we have several strengths going into the season. Our team speed is above average. We have 8 or 9 guys that can run 6.6-6.9 second 60's. We should be able to put pressure on teams on the base paths and in our running game. I feel like we are deep on the mound. We have 4 right handers and 3 left handers that I feel like will give us a change to win a lot of games. They can fill up the strike zone and don't give many walks. We have a lot of experience coming back defensively. We should be solid on the infield and our outfield will be able to run down most anything hit in the air. I feel like the big question marks surrounding our team are on the offensive side of things. We lost 3 college players in the middle of our lineup from last season that will be difficult to replace. The question will be who is going to step up and drive in runs for us and who will be the guys that drive those extra base hits in the allies and occasionally hit a dinger for us. ” – Mike Moore, head coach
