Florida 2026 Rankings: Initial Release

Rocco Iervasi
PBR Florida Director of Operations/Area Scout

Fall 2022 has come and gone. The class of 2026 have finally entered their freshman year of high school. These young ball players have the next four years to make a name for themselves in the high school baseball ranks as well as make memories with their teammates.

With that being said, it is officially time to start ranking the 2026 class. Take a look at our initial Florida Rankings debut made up of our top 50 players in the state.

The No. 1 spot in the Florida 2026 Rankings debut goes to RHP/SS Wilson Andersen (Jesuit). Andersen is a 6-foot-2, 160 pound right hander with a ton of projection in the arm and real two-way ability. Andersen was a part of Team Florida at the 2021 Junior Future Games as a 13 year old, and we knew the projection was already there. Andersen threw in the low 80s already, made plays in the infield look easy, and was one of the better hitters at the entire event. Fast forward to today where Andersen has made the jump up to 91 with his fastball. It’s a clean, quick arm action with plenty more to come as he fills out his lean frame. Andersen looks to be another top arm coming out of Jesuit High School.

No. 2 in the Florida 2026 class is SS Jacob Lombard (Gulliver Prep). Lombard comes from big league genes and has the tools to go with it. At 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Lombard is physical and looks the part. He has strength in the lower half with an easy swing. Lombard impacts the baseball with power potential. Lombard is an athletic mover and has above average hands/arm in the infield. There is a lot to like in the overall profile with plenty of upside.

Coming in at No. 3 is OF
Lorenzo Laurel (Stoneman Douglas). Stoneman Douglas continues to develop high level talent year after year, and Laurel may be next. Laurel has strength at 5-foot-11, 176 pounds. Mature actions in the box with bat speed. The offensive profile is impressive as he stays in rhythm and on time, has feel for the barrel, and juice to all fields. The arm is well above average as well making his upside even greater.

No. 4 in the Florida 2026 class is OF
Brady Harris (Trinity Christian Jax). Harris screams projection at 6-foot-1, 155 pounds. The Gators jumped on Harris early and rightly so. Athleticism plays well with long limbs. Creates leverage in the bat path with ability to impact the ball to all fields. Harris shows power potential which will only develop greater as he starts to add strength. Harris is a gamer and can flat out hit. Lots of potential in this 2026 bat.

Rounding out the top 5 in the Florida 2026 class is LHP/OF
Parker Granse (Gulf Breeze). Granse is another projectable arm with a lot of upside going forward. A long, lean frame at 6-foot-3, 155 pounds, and already committed to Miami. Granse was a part of Team Florida at the 2022 Junior Future Games. He showed swing and miss stuff and ability to control 3 pitches. The fastball sits low 80s now with more to come as he adds strength. He has a hammer of a breaking ball that is one of the best in the 2026 class, as well as a changeup that he locates for strikes. There is a lot to like in this long southpaw, and I see already why the Canes jumped on him so quick.
