After finishing 2023 as 3A Area Finalists, the Jacksboro Tigers return an experienced group entering 2024. Led by Coach Blake Belcher, the Tigers bring back seven returners who earned All-District or All-State awards a season ago.

Headlining this year’s group will be both the reigning District Defensive Player of the Year in OF Kaleem Howard (2024; Trinity Football) and the reigning District Offensive Player of the Year, who was also Honorable Mention All-State in 2023 in INF Lando Belcher (2024; uncommitted). A pair of two-way players return from the Jacksboro senior class this spring in RHP/OF Jackson McComis (uncommitted) and RHP/INF Kasey Swan (uncommitted). McComis was Third Team All-State last year, with Swan earning Second Team All-District respectively. Joining the senior class in 2024 on varsity is expected to be OF Tyler Mitchell (uncommitted).

In the junior class, the Tigers will welcome back First Team All-District catcher from 2023 in Kyler Swan (uncommitted), as well as LHP/1B Cannon Valenzuela (uncommitted), who was Second Team All-District last year.

On the sophomore side, Jacksboro brings back RHP/CIF Wyatt Gavit, who earned Second Team All-District honors last spring after a stellar freshman season. Projected to join him in the sophomore class on varsity this year will be INF Brayden Rockey.

Although they did not make a deep run last season, with their returning talent and overall experience of the roster look for Jacksboro to make a deeper 3A postseason run in 2024.
