On Oct. 21, the PBR Wisconsin scouting staff traveled to Impact Sports Academy in De Pere, Wis., to host the Northern Wisconsin Open event. This open showcase helped introduce us to some need-to-know players in the state that we’d not yet seen before, as well as provided us with updated looks at players who’ve earned our attention in the past.

Below is a look at all of the position players from the event with a few standouts that deserve a mention.

TOP POSITION PLAYERS

NO. 1 Nolan Meis SS / RHP / Lakeside Lutheran, WI / 2025 Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Strong build, good proportions, sloped shoulders, more room to add.  Hit: RHH. Upright set up, leg lift gather into back side, controlled move back to hitting position, falls away from hands into strong loaded position. Well sequenced from the ground up, flat path through the ball, ball jumps when barreled . 74.2 mph bat speed with 13 G’s of rotational acceleration. NO. 3 Elery Hardwick C / 1B / Marquette University, WI / 2025 Body: 5-11, 187-pounds. Strong sturdy build with good proportions.  Hit: RHH. Wider base with strong back elbow, early toe down, shifts weight back to center into a strong hitting position on time. Direct hand path down and through the baseball, impacts the ball through both gaps. 70.6 mph bat speed with 20 G’s of rotational acceleration.
