Neil Devlin From the Colorado Dugout: Interview with 2021 SS Jacob Weaver of Fruita Monument HS

Fruita may be under-rated in terms of how the rest of Colorado views it as a sports town.
Jacob Weaver, a sophomore for the Fruita Monument Wildcats, certainly thinks so.
Playing baseball on the Western Slope, he insists, is great.
“I love it here because it’s a big sports town,” the 15-year-old said. “We love it here, love playing at Stocker (Stadium, adjacent to Suplizio Field) and the Junior College World Series atmosphere is great. Everyone talks about baseball here.”
