Uncommitted Spotlight: Egbert - A Lot To Learn During Recruitment
Kenten Egbert RHP / 3B / Tipp city, OH / 2019Rankings StateRank: 86 / POS: 31
TIPP CITY - The recruiting process has been quite a learning experience for Kenten Egbert. “It’s definitely a lot harder than I thought it would be at the beginning,” the Tipp City Tippecanoe junior admitted. “I thought it was going to be ... ‘I’m just going to show up and play and coaches will say come play for us.’ … But it’s a lot slower and more work for the player than I was ready for in the beginning. The coaches are a lot nicer than I was ready for, too.” A visit to Eastern Kentucky and talks with Ohio U, Wilmington and Xavier has the 86th-ranked player in Ohio’s 2019 class weighing a lot of options. “Xavier saw me in a summer game and came to watch another one,” Egbert said. “OU invited me to a small camp they had and liked me. Wilmington saw a video online from PBR and EKU I played there once. |
