Class of 2020 Player Rankings (December)

All throughout the year we have had our eyes on the 2020 class, we covered the MHSAA High School season in the spring, held numerous showcases/events and covered many tournaments across the state in the summer, fall and winter. These proved valuable for many 2020 prospects, with many names coming off the board to some of the top programs around the nation.

Below we will take a look at “What’s New At The Top”, “Rising Prospects”, and some of the top uncommitted prospects.

What's New AT THE TOP

The top of our rankings has eight of ten commits stemming from three power five conferences.   2018 Future Games SS as well Auburn commit Werner Blakely has claimed the top spot, followed by University of Michigan commit LHP Logan Wood.

Werner Blakely SS / 3B / Detroit Edison, MI / 2020

Report: Blakely is a 6-foot-3, 185 pound smooth fielding shortstop has big time upside with above average range. Has the ability to stick at SS while showing power at the plate. Easy stroke from the left side of the plate. Expect scouts to follow Blakely this year.
