Texas All-State Games: Preview

WACO, T.X.- With the biggest event of the fall around the corner, our PBR boots-on-the-ground staff will head to Waco, TX for the Texas All-State Games. This event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 3 at McLennan Community College. The Texas All-State Games is an invite-only event for the top 2020-2023 prospects in the state. This invitation only event will feature a showcase and games for the top rising prospects in the state of Texas.

Tentative schedule 
8:20-8:40 AM – Position Player Check-in
8:40-9:00 AM – Introduction and Stretch
9:00-12:00 PM – Position Player Workout 

Pitchers Check-In one hour before scheduled game time.
12:30 PM - Team 1 vs. Team 2
2:45 PM - Team 3 vs. Team 4
5:00 - Team 5 vs. Team 6

With a quick glance at the roster a lot of names begin to standout, including several members from Team Texas who attended this year’s PBR Future Games. Talented depth in every class will be represented at this year’s All-State Games. Here is an in-depth preview of some of the top prospects from each class who will be in attendance.

2020

BENNY ROEBUCK RHP / MARCUS, TX / 2020 2020 RHP Benny Roebuck had himself a day as well. The 6-1 right-hander was impressive during his time on the mound. His fastball sat 85-88 mph working out of a ¾ slot. The pitch shows slight arm-side run while working on a downward plane.Roebuck offered two types of breaking balls. The curveball has an 11/5 shape the pitch is still developing and shows a little early at 70-71 mph. At 73-75 mph the slider is the better of the two breaking pitches. With a late two plane sweeping action the pitch shows swing and miss potential. Roebuck also offered a 78-80 mph changeup.
