The Fall season saw PBR Maryland conduct a plethora of Scout Days with numerous organizations across the state. Today, we dive into the Calvert Hall Scout Day and look at a highly talented backstop who impressed on both sides of the ball.

Coming off a knee injury, Bournousouzis was a level above the rest at this year's Calvert Hall Scout day. Possessing a physical 5-foot-11, 175 pound frame, the athletic backstop showed advanced actions on both sides of the ball and certainly raised his stock as being one of the top uncommitted catchers in the state. It's a controlled operation at the dish, creating consistent loft and backspin with loud strength present to the pull side gap, including a keen ability to cut it down and spray line drives to the middle. Although the BP was eye-opening, the actions behind the dish may have been even more impressive. Quick transfers with plenty of ground gained towards the bag that produces low 80's velo and pop times in the 1.90's. As the health continues to strengthen and the knee gets back to 100%, look for Bournousouzis to have a breakout Spring season for the Cardinals.
