As we get prepared for our premiere event of the year in the Preseason All-State, we start the process by breaking down each individual attendee with notes on videos their game.  The Preseason All-State attracts some of the top talent from all across the state creating platforms and driving eye-balls for recruiters and scouts at the next level to help guide them throughout the spring recruiting.  This year's event will take place once again at Oral Roberts University of February 11th featuring a pro-style workout with data collected by our tech partners, social media coverage, and updated video for the profile.

Joey McLaughlin OF / LHP / Harrah, OK / 2025 McLaughlin burst onto the scene earlier this past summer with much improved tools from where we saw him the previous October earning him a spot on the Future Games roster for Team OK.  The left-handed hitter has some of the top bat speed in the class across the country and exit velos working up to 99.5 mph with excellent carry.  He not only brings some power potential with the bat, but also adds some athleticism with a 6.71 60 allowing him to cover a ton of ground in the outfield.  McLaughlin is still starting to scratch the surface of what type of player he is going to be and should be on recruiting radars for schools at the next level.

Cord Nolan OF / C / Bixby , OK / 2026 It's been awhile since we've seen Cord but our past looks at him even at a younger age projects at a high level thanks to his physical build and athleticism.  Cord has been a force on the gridiron the past two years in helping Bixby hoist the Gold Ball and he plays on the baseball diamond with that type of fierceness energy that he uses to fill an A-gap.  The switch hitter spent some time on the Varsity level as a freshman this year and we'd expect to see his name called on more in the coming years making him an intriguing prospect to follow.

Carson Rackers C / 3B / Jenks, OK / 2026 We last got eyes on the backstop from Jenks at the Marucci Midwest Scout Day back in August where the left-handed hitter showed a short and compact stroke and balance at the plate.  He worked exit velos up to 83 mph but with his swing mechanics it should only continue to improve as he adds strength.  Behind the plate he showed some arm strength reaching up to 73 mph from the crouch and working showcase pop times as low as 2.03

Tyler Robinson 2B / SS / Edmond Memorial , OK / 2026 Robinson brings his impressive tools into this year's Preseason All-State as one of the faster players in the class and some impressive swing metrics.  We last saw him at the Fall Underclass Games last October where he continued to make gains over where we saw him previously and showing high end bat speed that should only continue to see bigger gains as he adds strength.  Robinson is able to generate more output than his frame would suggest and should be a prospect to keep an eye on in the future.

Graham Knight OF / 1B / Bixby, OK / 2026 The first baseman/outfielder from Bixby last competed at the Fall Underclass Games where he saw some jumps in arm strength over previous events.  Knight shows a big arm in the outfield reaching up to 85 mph and trending upward to make us believe it will turn into a plus arm.  Offensively, Knight is just beginning to tap into his power with exit velocities reaching into the upper 80's and we would not be surprised to see that number jump up pretty consistently over the next couple of years thanks to a well-put together swing and strong use of the lower half.

Jackson Poage C / OF / Duncan, OK / 2025 The catcher/outfielder from Duncan recently put his skills on display in Kansas at the Kansas Curve Scout Day that showed off his quick release from behind the plate yielding showcase pop times in the 1.89-1.95 range.  Poage has a rhythmic two-tap stride working exit velos into the upper 80's with good extension and balance throughout the swing.  Poage gained a ton of experience in the middle of the order for Duncan last spring as a sophomore and will look to take on a bigger role in the offense in 2024.

Isaac King 3B / C / Victory Christian , OK / 2025 King steps into the Preseason All-State as one of the more physical players in the class.  We last caught King this past summer at the OKC Open where he worked exit velos up to 92.8 mph and an impressive 86.7 mph average over the course of the round.  He uses his present strength paired with his advanced bat speed to create consistent hard contact from the left side of the plate.  Defensively, King showed quick transfers out of the glove to produce showcase pop times in the 1.92-2.03 range and can even hold his own on the hot corner with a feel for glove action and ability to field on the move.

Boden Miller C / RHP / Fairview , OK / 2025 Miller comes to the Preseason All-State after impressing with the bat at the Top Prospect Games this past summer where he showed his power potential reaching exit velos up to 95.8 mph.  Miller was all over the barrel that day with an average exit velo of 86.8 mph strong swing metrics across the board.  The arm strength plays up at 79 mph from behind the dish that should continue to see his pop time numbers decrease in time as he continues to gain experience.

Samuel Hernandez OF / 3B / Putnam City West, OK / 2024 Hernandez showed impressive tools at last summer's OKC Open where his big arm strength and power potential with the bat shined.  Hernandez has one of the better infield arms in the state clocking in at 89 mph and can also get it up to 87 from the outfield offering some positional versatility.  Offensively, he worked exit velos up to 90.2 mph using strong bat speed and loose hands working through the zone.  Hernandez is currently uncommitted and will look to land on some recruiting radars with another strong performance.

Gavin Ivy RHP / RHP / Mustang, OK / 2024 It's been a few years since we've gotten updated data on Ivy but even two years ago showed some signs of promise on the mound.  The uncommitted senior uses a quick arm action and feel for spinning the slider as a potential swing and miss pitch with late action and depth.  Ivy has the type of hand speed that would suggest for more velo gains in the future as he adds strength and will look to improve his data on the profile at the Preseason All-State.
