PREP BASEBALL LOUISIANA POWER 25 RANKINGS (WEEK 7)
The Louisiana high school baseball season kicked off on Monday February 19, 2024 with regular season action beginning under LHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we published our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Louisiana Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Since Opening Day, our scouts have been out and about covering the 2024 season and will be publishing scout blogs and additional in-season content, such as our Power 25 updates, Player of the Week awards, Scout Blogs, Diamond Notes, and more.

The Top 5
The Top 5 teams remain the same again this week with only some subtle changes to their order. Catholic BR is still our #1 team, for the seventh consecutive week, after going 3-0 last week. The Bears scored 43 runs and only gave up 2 in those three games. Barbe checks in at #2, after going 2-0 last week. The Bucs swept New Iberia in their two-game district series. West Monroe moves up to the #3 spot in our Power 25 Rankings. The Rebels went 3-0 last week and got revenge from an earlier season loss to Ouachita Christian by beating the Eagles by a score of 6-0 on Tuesday. Natchitoches Central moves back one spot to #4 in this update. The Chiefs swept their two-game district series against Southwood last week. Sam Houston moves back three spots to #5 in this week's update. The Broncos beat Alexandria last Tuesday and then split their two-game district series against Southside.
Risers
+ Parkway jumps up six spots to #6 in this week's update. The Panthers went a perfect 3-0 last week with a district sweep of Haughton and a 5-0 win over Captain Shreve. Senior RHP Colton Smith (Jones College) moved his season record to 7-0, after collecting one of the wins against Haughton.
+ Rumnmel moves back into the Top-10 this week at #7. The Raiders went 2-0 last week with district wins over St. Augustine and Jesuit.
+ Walker makes their Power 25 Rankings debut this week at #19 overall. The Wildcats went 3-0 last week with three district wins over Dutchtown and East Ascension twice.
