Here are a look into some of the top standouts from last weeks Fall Missouri Underclass State Games at Atkins field in Columbia, MO. The 2023 and 2024 class in the Show-me state is showing to loaded with talent and it showed through during the event.

BRET YARGEROF / SS / ROLLA , MO / 2024

Yarger had one of the more eye catching all around days at the MO Underclass Games, showing particularly well at the plate and in the OF. He is a plus athlete and runner (6.75 60), during BP he showed power potential has the ball jumps off the barrel (97 exit vlo). Yarger will be one of the top 2024's to know in Missouri.

LANE HARRISLHP / 1B / FRANCIS HOWELL CENTRAL , MO / 2023

A projectable lefty that showed a feel for pitching and a plus curveball. Harris sat in the low 80's but his arm action and body suggest more velocity will be coming soon. Harris's breaking ball has the makings for a plus pitch with a spin rate in the 2750-2850 range. Is a lefty to have on the radar.

JAKE MCGHEEOF / LHP / CBC, MO / 2024

Another LHP that showed extremely well, McGhee had a dominate performance during the Underclass State Games slicing up the competition during his outing with a quality 3 pitch mix (FB/CB/CH). A two way prospect McGhee also flashed bat speed during an impressive round of BP.

TRIPP JOHNS3B / 1B / LAFAYETTE , MO / 2023

Johns, a left handed power bat showed off his power during the BP portion of the event posting an exit vlo of 95 and launching balls into deep CF-RF. A physical presences in the box, he will be a middle of the lineup type bat to keep an eye on in the class.

WILL MOORERHP / OF / LADUE HORTON WATKINS, MO / 2023

The 6'2 RHP was one of the more impressive arms at the event, running his fastball as high as 84 mph and showing a good feel for his curveball 66-68 mph. With a physical frame this RHP will be an arm to follow.

MYLES KRUGERSS / 2B / KIRKWOOD, MO / 2023

One of the top SS performers at the event. Kruger impressed with good infield actions and a good throwing arm.  He took a consistent gap to gap line drive round of loud BP (88 exit vlo).
