New England Insider: Uncommitted Senior Spotlight - John O'Donnell, LHP

John O'DonnellName: John O'Donnell
Position: LHP
School: North Attleboro
Class: 2016
Ranked: 160th in New England

Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 162-pound thin railed left-hander pitcher with an arm that really works. Extremely loose from a low-¾ slot, Maiorisi shows a feel for throwing strikes and handling hitters. Showed extremely well in the game, punching out five hitters in a row at one point. Fastball sat around 78 mph, but you can expect a jump in velocity this spring and maybe more as he gains weight. The breaking pitch is sweepy at 68-71 but extremely deceptive. The changeup is a work in progress. This guy will be extremely pitchable in college, like his feel for the craft. Delivery is simple and he repeats it, good athlete.
