Prep Baseball Oklahoma hosted the Uncommitted Upperclass Games on November 5th at UCO featuring some very intriguing prospects from the 2024 and 2025 classes.  The event featured laser timed 60's, BP rounds with data captured by Trackman and Blast Motion, defensive evaluations with radar gun readings and pop times, and finished off with a simulated game featuring live arms against hitters with pitching data captured by Trackman.  We will have more leaderboards and details coming from the event in the next couple of days, but today we take a look at 10 players that caught our attention this past Sunday.

Kash Ferris RHP / OF / Carl Albert , OK / 2024 Although the event was labeled as an uncommitted event, the OSU commit used this opportunity to raise his stock with one of the more impressive performances on the mound.  Ferris is starting to see the velocity take an uptick but most importantly hold it throughout the outing working up to 91.4 mph with 2500 spin.  What has always set him apart from his peers is his ability to spin the breaking ball where he flashed plus action on both the slider and curveball both with unique shapes and tight spin.  Ferris has already proven his ability to miss bats in live-game action and should continue to trend upwards with his increases in stuff and velocity.

Cooper Howe RHP / 3B / Moore, OK / 2024 Howe impressed in our looks at him on the mound working the fastball up to 86.4 mph with big spin and riding life through the zone.  Howe was able to pound the strikezone repeateably with the fastball as well as an upper 70's curveball with downer action and tight spin in the 2400's.  Standing at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, Howe has the frame and hand speed to match with his ability to pump in strikes making him a prime prospect for schools at the next level still looking for arms.

Denim Sands 1B / LHP / Glenpool, OK / 2025 We got our first looks at the physical left-hander from Glenpool and he should potential power on both sides of the ball.  On the mound the lefty worked the fastball up to 85.5 mph strong tilt and riding life through the zone.  He paired the fastball with a lower 70's curveball that has potential as he keeps adding strength.  He showcased a big arm in the workout setting throwing 89 mph in the infield which should bode well for more velocity on the mound in the future.  He has strong bat speed that allowed him to work exit velocities up to 88.2 mph.  With his 6-foot-1 and 210 pound frame, expect to see Sands continue to make jumps on both sides of the ball but don't be surprised to see him turn into a nice power arm from the left side in the near future.

Luke Hankins SS / 2B / Preston, OK / 2025 Hankins topped the charts at the event with the high exit velocity at 93.3 mph.  The right-handed hitter showed strong balance at the plate with hands working quickly through the zone and showing strong overall bat speed.  Hankins also showed off some athleticism running a 7.06 60 combined with smooth fielding actions.

Dalton Barrington 3B / OF / BERRYHILL HS, OK / 2024 Barrington was one of the more impressive looks we had on the day in his first PBR event showing out in multiple categories.  The right handed hitter from Berryhill used his strong bat speed and quick hands to generate exit velocities up to 91.4 mph.  The uncommitted senior also was one of the faster players in attendance running a 60 at 6.98 and showing some arm strength in the infield working it up to 85 mph across the diamond.

Calvin Mendoza C / RHP / Ardmore, OK / 2024 The senior from Ardmore displayed a unique skill set from behind the plate showing athleticism on both sides of the ball.  Mendoza started the day with the fastest 60 time from the event coming in at a 6.82 on the Swift lasers.  He would then go on to showcase that athleticism from behind the plate working pop times in the 1.95-2.03 at 78 mph from the crouch.

Blake Rogers OF / SS / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2025 We saw Rogers over the summer and he continues to impress in our looks at him with another strong performance at this event.  Rogers started his day at with a 6.93 laser timed 60 before showcasing a mid 80's arm from the outfield.  At the plate, Rogers had the highest average bat speed metrics from Blast Motion that allowed him to work exit velocities up to 89.9 mph.  Rogers already has an athletic/physical build that should only continue to take his game to another level as he adds experience in the future.

Decker Davis C / 3B / Arapaho-Butler, OK / 2025 The junior backstop put on one of the more impressive displays of catch and throw that we've seen at our event in Oklahoma in quite some time.  The 6-foot-2 and 200 pound catcher showed big arm strength from the crouch working it up to 81 mph that was paired with a quick release yielding pop times in the 1.85-1.94 range.  His catch and throw skills are definitely the carrying tool for Decker but also showed some potential power with the bat working exit velocities up to 88.7 mph and a strong average of 82.3 mph throughout the round.

Hayden Towell C / OF / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2025 Towell is another backstop from the event that displayed a unique combination of speed and power from the catching position from the event.  Towell checked a lot of boxes in the workout running a 6.97 60 before showing strong catch and throw skills yielding pop times as low as 1.95.  At the plate he was able to generate some sneaky pop working exit velocities up to 90.5 mph thanks to a well-sequenced swing and getting the most out of his 5-foot-11 and 170-pound frame.  Look for Towell to continue to rise as he adds more strength and experience to his game in the future.

Blaine Bellamy 3B / RHP / Fort Cobb Broxton, OK / 2025 Bellamy has been a key cog for the Mustangs from Fort Cobb and continued to impress with a strong workout at the Uncommitted Upperclass Games this past Sunday.  Bellamy has some strength in the hands at contact that allowed him to work exit velocities up to 91.8 mph and a strong average throughout the round at 82.9 average.  Bellamy has an understanding of actions in the infield with enough arm strength and carry to potentially stay at third base at the next level and pairs it with some sneaky athleticism running a 7.13 60.
