East Arkansas Preseason ID: Quick Hits

Arkansas Staff

Our final stop around the state on our Preseason ID tour came on February 3rd in Jonesboro for the East Arkansas Preseason ID.  The event featured 22 players from the eastern part of the state from the 2025 class to some up and coming prospects in the 2028 class.  The event featured a pro-style workout with laser timed 60's, BP rounds with Trackman and Blast Motion data collected, defensive evaluations with radar gun readings and pop times, and finished off with bullpens with Trackman ball flight data.  We will dive into some of the top performances throughout the week but today we start with some quick notes on some of the standouts from the day.

Beck Black 3B / OF / Valley View, AR / 2026

Each time we see Beck, he continues to get stronger, translating into louder rounds of bBP. Throughout the workout, Beck showed consistent actions with ease. Beck will be a player to watch out for in the class of 2026.

Gabe Bledsoe OF / RHP / Batesville, AR / 2027

Gabe is an athletic 2027 that is adding strength to his frame. Bledsoe showed a consistent path to contact-generating line drives to all parts of the field. Bledsoe continues to show the upside in the 2027 class.

Will Findley SS / RHP / Valley view, AR / 2027

Long, lean, and projectable, Findley is a multi-position player. Clean actions at short stop, along with easy actions behind the plate. Findley has options in the field. Off the mound, Findley has a consistent delivery with a plus feel for the change-up. Offensively a consistent approach with line drives during BP.

Drew Gartman SS / Valley View, AR / 2025

Arkansas State commit, Gartman continues to impress. Gartman, a top-end runner with a long, lean frame, shows easy actions in the middle of the infield. BP rounds were quick and loud with increasing power and leverage.

Will Leslie RHP / OF / Cabot, AR / 2025

Arkansas State Commit, Will Leslie has a clean arm swing with an easy delivery. Leslie showed a swing-and-miss-breaking ball as well as a controlled fastball to both sides. Leslie has big projection to his long lean frame and look for the velocity to continue to climb as he garners more strength.

Jaden Passmore SS / 2B / Southside , AR / 2025

With clean actions in the middle of the field, Passmore showed added strength at the plate, producing loud line drives throughout his rounds of BP.

Cannon Driskill SS / Green County Tech, AR / 2026

Driskill continues to improve each time we see him. Driskill is an athletic infifelder that shows polish in the field with arm strength. At the plate, he produces a line drive path with consistency.

Owen Roach OF / RHP / Valley View, AR / 2026

One of the top outfielders in 2026, Owen Roach, continues to show why. In a more physical frame, Roach had loud rounds of BP with more power. Roach also showcased a stronger arm from the outfield.

Braydon Passmore SS / RHP / Trumann, AR / 2026

With a long, lean frame, Passmore continues to go vertical. A clean easy arm swing off the mound, Passmore should continue to have rising fastball velocities as his frame fills out. Offensively Passmore shows a repeated approach with consistent line drives.

Isaac Moore RHP / SS / Manila, AR / 2026

Moore showed an easy arm swing off the bump with feel for three pitches. Moore has a lean frame and as the body fills out the velocity should rise. Offensively, Moore had a quiet approach producing line drives in BP.

Jayde Taylor OF / RHP / Valley View, AR / 2025

Physically strong, Taylor takes a loud round of BP. Taylor has power to all fields with a consistent approach. A power bat to watch as the high school season approaches.
