Now that the 2024 high school season has ended, we are excited to announce one player, who emerged ahead of the competition, at all levels across the state of Hawaii.  This player has been selected not only for their outstanding statistical numbers, but also for their overall effect on their high school program.

We are excited to announce that '25 RHP Greyson Osbun of Kamehameha Kapālama has earned our 2024 Player of the Year award!

Below, we dive into Osbun's dominant run on the mound this spring for Kamehameha Kapālama as he was near unittable down the stretch for the Warriors going into the postseason.

Stay tuned into our social channels this week as we will also be announcing Hawaii's All-State Team from the 2024 High School season.

2024 PREP BASEBALL HAWAII PLAYER OF THE YEAR

2024 STATISTICS
Record: 6-1
Innings: 42.2
Hits Allowed: 22
Runs Allowed: 11
Earned Run Average: 1.48
Strikeouts: 53
Walks: 15

2025 RHP Greyson Osbun put together one of the most dominant runs on the mound in Hawaii high school baseball recent memory. The uncommitted right-hander seemed to get stronger as the season winded down as his final three starts ahead of the Division I State Tournament included a trio of shutout performances, as well as a pair of one-hitters, with one of those a near no-hitter's ruined with just one out to go.

The Kamehameha Kapālama product's final outing of the year came in the semi-finals against Baldwin as he went five innings allowing three runs, four hits, one walk and struck out nine. The Warriors would ultimately fall 3-2 and Osbun once again showed why he is one of the fiercest competitors in Hawaii.

Osbun started his year at Prep Baseball Hawaii's January 7th Oahu Preseason ID where his fastball bumped 85 mph, paired with a tight slider at 75-77 mph and plus-changeup at 74-76 mph. Fastball velocity up to 89 mph April 18th in a near no-hitter vs. Saint Louis with Dan Cox behind the plate.

Osbun is one of the top uncommitted Hawaii 2025's and is peaking at the right time as he enters an important summer in his recruiting process, including representing Hawaii in Prep Baseball's July 23-28 Senior Future Games.

Congratulations Grayson Osbun!
